Pediatric Imaging: The Fundamentals (Fundamentals of Radiology)

Excellent
I just started my first year of radiology residency (hooray for not being an intern anymore!), and my first rotation is pediatrics. This book was strongly recommended to me by more senior residents in my program. I have not been disappointed. The book is fairly small (about 250 pages), which makes finishing it during the course of a one month rotation a completely doable task. When we do teaching cases with the attending every morning, I feel like I can contribute meaningful differential diagnoses based on what I've read in this book the night before, even as an inexperienced R1. This book is a must-have for radiology residents!

Godd basic textbook
Good book with basal and really fundamental information regarding pediatric radiology. If you need a quick referrence - it is the right choice. Almost all topics were covered by well written text with fibe description and radiological diagnosis key points. Some topics are not full, but the basics are present however. If you need to dig deeper - you must go for other textbook or targeted journals that cover pediatric radiology issues. As general - nice impression, perfect value for price. Recommended for residents and general radiologists.

Excellent Choice for Beginning Radiologists
Beginning radiologists will find this book very helpful. The book is well organized, portable, & hits all the major conditions needed to succeed in your first rotation on peds radiology. The author takes a very practical approach to developing a differential for common disease processes. While the book is too brief for advanced radiologists, it was the perfect amount of material for my first rotation.

An introduction to ped rad
This is a useful book for a med student, junior resident in radiology or pediatrics but not a substitute for a definitive reference needed if you're pursuing practice or fellowship in ped radiology or studying for the general ABR exams.

Must read for radiology residents
Solid first pediatric imaging book for a radiology resident doing his first rotation in pediatric radiology. Covers all major topics and considerations in pediatric imaging. Easy to read. Nicely presented. Features nice images to support the well-written text. This book definitely serves his purpose. However, for future rotations (PGY4-5), I would recommend more in-depth textbooks.

Get this book for your first year peds rads rotations!
Highly recommended by my co-residents. This book reads very easily and can be finished in a weekend. Great for a first or second rotation resource, especially when paired with the online Cleveland Clinic Pediatric modules. Especially liked Donnelly's slightly cantankerous commentary that reclassifying CCAM's as CPAM's doesn't have any clinical importance.

Great for students and providers
I bought this book to assess it for a course. It is so good we made it a required text. In addition, the price makes it accessible to students who have many texts to buy every semester. Several colleagues have borrowed it and then bought copies of their own.

Good for FRCR 2A
This book is quick read and is really sufficient for the FRCR 2A Paediatric module. The questions seem to literally appear from this book. The tables provided are superb. The only downside is that the book is really costly.
