Very cool stuff, mind you don't spill it though!
The fluid comes with two small screwtop plastic containers, along with a standard plastic petri dish and pipette. For the best effect I would advise putting a small amount in the petri dish, barely enough to cover the surface, and approach with a magnet from below. Be very careful, as a strong magnet from the side can easily cause the fluid to fly over the edge out of the petri dish! Be extra careful, since the fluid stains most materials, and can be difficult to wash out. The effect from a magnet is very interesting to look at. The volumes required are very small so this amount could be used to amuse quite a few people.

Use a glass jar!
OK, top tips: open up the packaging throw away the plastic dishes and the pipette. Get your self a small, glass jar with a tight screw on lid, like an old small chutney jar and pour in the fluid, let it drain, wrap up the old packaging and throw it all away. Seal the jar with the lid. Now you can safely play with a magnet on the outside of the glass jar and you won't get this everywhere (like I did!). Its a good laugh and amazed our granddaughter and others.

Fun
Fantastic, girlfriend and I loved messing around with it. Do be careful though, it's incomprehensibly messy!

Sadly more of a gimmick than anything else
PRO TIP: DO NOT GIVE THIS TO YOUR CHILDREN. This stuff STAINS. And I mean stains. Playing with it will pretty much always get your hands stained with the stuff if you aren't being careful enough, and the petri dish is laughably shameful at doing much at all to contain the liquid when you start messing around with magnets - I would suggest buying some small clear glass bottles or putting a lot of newspaper down beforehand. The effect of the magnets on the liquid is a lot less impressive to the naked eye than it is through a macro lens or through a magnifying glass, and magic of the product runs out quite fast. That said, you can still achieve interesting visuals with it, and I poured some into water and sealed it in a small glass bottle and it looks lavalamp-esque. Ultimately, I wouldn't buy this product again. The interest runs dry pretty fast, so unless you are incredibly into cool sciencey things like this it really isn't worth the purchase. Stick to youtube videos where other people capture the effects far more impressively with macro cameras.

Great but messy
Bought this for my science keen 7 year old. He loves it! But it DEFINITELY needs supervision, it's messy!! I learned that the hard way..

Great fun but can be messy.
Does exactly what it says. Be careful it can be a bit messy so use it somewhere you aren't overly bothered about if you spill it as it will be nigh on impossible to clear up. If using for macro photography the results you get will depend on your lens / sensor size. I have a camera with APS-C sensor and a 60mm macro lens which gives an ok result for A4 size images but not really good for anything larger even after using all the tools in Lightroom and Photoshop to try and sharpen images. Overall get some (and some magnets and spare petri dishes) and have fun with it. Watch some of the videos on youtube to get some creative ideas.

Fascinating
Interesting to see different patterns using different shaped magnets

Not very good.
Does not really seem like a fluid more like very small filings. Dissolves into brown mess in bottle.
