how much is your families lives worth ?
I got this after moving home, and fitted new home with a bunch of radio linked smoke/head and a CO alarm - all sound if one sounds, also added a radio linked strobe for sons games room, so when he on Xbox with headset on he would see the strobe if not hear the 5 alarms in house sounding. As a Safety Officer who has been in a fire, I cant state how important it is to have a good system in your home. The cost of all this was the same of a long weekend away (£300). This unit allows a full system test (hold your ears), lets you ID which alarm 1st went off, and also tells you at a glance if its CO gas - thats about to kill you. It has a 10 year battery so I can just forget about it, but also has a battery light too. see a demo on u tube [...] that £4.99 smoke alarm you got may not give you the protection you think you have, but its still better than nothing. I cant beleive the number of home fires where it is stated NO smoke alarm existed.

Very good product. No need to rush to stop a false alarm. Good design and indicate if the issue is from Fire or CO. Recommend this remote if you have more than 5 alarms spread over a large house

On delivery check the controller expiration date
I received the controller all OK but on checking the controller the expiration date it had to be replaced earlier than its 10 years life cycle, it was October 30 which was earlier than my alarms expiration date & not the 10 years life as advertised. Returned to Amazon without any issues.

Very quick to install and set up and makes the task of essential maontenance testing much easy to do which means that it will get done!!

Device supplied with labelling in German.
Purchased from the UK Amazon site and the photograph shows the labelling in English but the item supplied has German labelling. This is entirely unsatisfactory for a safety device of this type. The only word beside the central button that is identical to the English version is 'Test' and the instructions supplied are also in German.
