Ateco 828 Open Star Pastry tip Extra Large Icing Piping Nozzle, Stainless Steel

Very good for making churros. I had previously ordered another tip but it was much smaller than I thought and the measurements weren't correct. Then I came across this piping tip and was hesitant in buying it as a comment said it was too big for churros and the price was more than the previous one. I still ordered it and it came the day it said it was going to arrive. Said it would arrive by 8pm but came much earlier. Overall, I have nothing negative to say.

Lovely sized nozzle. Great for cookie form. The tips are very very pointed and sharp so I would suggest it is kept separately to other noddles.

Fantastic product. Working as a chef who uses this multiple times a week I can confirm it leave a very nice looking pattern with your chosen substance. It is more durable than cheaper ones it hasn't bent or broken in the 2 months I've had it which is excellent compared to the other nossels that we have that bent in the first two days of use.

For what it is this is expensive .

I searched high and low for nozzles that could make "big" swirls on a cupcake and I found them by trawling instagram feeds of professional bakers... and this Ateco nozzle (along with 868 and 848) is what they use. You can see from the picture how lovely the swirls are that get made... picture says a thousand words! Quality is also great as a lot of nozzles you can buy in the supermarket/ online are not particularly great quality, but these Ateco ones are used by professionals- says it all! Buy it!!!

It's a really nice nozzle, pipes a lovely pattern. If you are like me using small piping bags and use this nozzle, which is quite big, you do have to cut off quite a bit of the piping bag to fit it. But that is not a major problem for me.

Amazing! Just what I wanted to make my cupcakes look as professional as they do in shops! The large tip allows easy flow of the butter cream icing. Highly recommend.

Pros - Pipes a good design of frosting. Cons - Doesn’t fit Large Couplet. Expensive. I paid regular price of $16. Tip: For this size of nozzle, you need 3 cups of frosting to cover 1 dozen standard size cupcakes as seen on picture. Ateco Brand is better quality than Wilton brand, I find. The aluminium stainless steel is thicker. Less prone to bend the nozzle tip.
