The Forest of Death part two
This seventh volume of the Naruto manga continues the struggles within the Forest of Death with Naruto and Team 7 under threat from the Sound Ninja but all is not lost as friends and rivals come to their aid.The first part of this volume doesn't give the main characters of the series much to do as some of the other ninja get their chance to shine. This volume also sees the first glimmers of what Gaara of the Desert (one of my favourite characters from the series) is capable of. This volume includes some great action and the plot is heading in interesting places as the Chunin exams continue. Naruto is an entertaining series and it only gets better.

Excellent Series
Naruto, Vol. 7: Orochimaru's Curse sees Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura deep in the Forest of Death, where they must defend their scroll and capture the scroll of another team. But, there's a twist. Orochimaru, the snake monster/man with ties to Sasuke, has ulterior motives unknown to the test takers and the test masters. The trio survived their encounter with Orochimaru in Vol. 6, but that encounter has left Sasuke and Naruto in a coma. Now, Orochimaru, his minions, and the other test takers are after Sasuke.I like a lot of things about Naruto so far. For instance, Sakura and her rival from the village, Ino, are both blondes, but you can tell them apart because of a segment in Vol. 6 where, when they were friends, Ino convinced Sakura to wear her hair back despite Sakura's large forehead, which she hated. The introduction of Gaara and the other powerful junior ninjas from the Land of Sand in the end of Chapter 57 ups the ante. Naruto is arguably the least powerful character in the series, along with Sakura. I love how this series is progressing. ****1/2

The Best Manga I've Ever Read
Naruto is becoming a known manga/anime around the world very fast. And I've been watching the anime for a long while...Then I decided to read the manga as well. It's soo good! When you keep reading you can actually see the mangaka(the artist) developing his skills.Every Naruto fan should read the mangas as well! They are very high quality and so fun to read!No chapter is the same, always something new happens, you never feel like "yeah i've read the same storyline two chapters ago!!". Always a different challenge is thrown at our hero Naruto and his friends. It's not soo serious so you don't get bored, but it's not always funny that you find it cheezy. The drama, comedy and the action are very nicely balanced.A must read for all anime/manga fans!My only complain would be the official English translation has changed the special names for the jutsu (ninja magic) and used completely different names...Other than that, it's the best manga I've ever read.PS: the manga is still continueing, and its somewhere near "chapter 279", so it is going to be a lot of volumes!

This series makes our 11 y/o WANT to read!
Our 11 y/o is finally enjoying to read because of these books. I haven't the slightest clue as to what they are about, but he sure does and he loves them. No more fighting to get him to complete his 1 hour of mandatory reading/day. Often times, he can put the books down ( I am slowly buying him the monster collection of Naruto books that he has wanted.
