Pilot Hi-Tech C Coleto 0.4 mm Gel Ink, Ballpoint Refill, 10 Color Set (LHKRF-1SC4-10C)

Love the Coleto line. It's one of the better hyperfine pens that produce brilliant color that you can read. The colors are simply beautiful. The best part of these refills is including the click tab in the refill itself. It means that if you put a purple refill in your pen, it has a purple tab. That doesn't always happen with other multipens, which will have refills like purple or turquoise available, but will make you stick them in the standard red blue green black tabs. I use the 3.0 nibs, but I've never had them rip paper. Heck, I have .25 Pilot stick pens, and I've never had those rip papers, either. Maybe the people with ripped paper need to reconsider their grip, and try not to write so dang hard. I write hard enough that you can feel my script on the back of even thick paper like Rhodia, but I've never had a Pilot pen rip a page.

I love pens. LOVE them. I've gone through many brands and sizes, but I must say I love these the most. I have used the Pilot G2 0.38mm refills with the Pilot G2 Pro Retractable Gel Ink Roller Ball Pen for a very long time, but wanted a multi-color pen for my day planner (I have a lot of things coming up and want to color code times so they stand out). I've used the KLOUD City 0.4mm colored pens before and they were just okay (nice colors, but they didn't write very smoothly), so I decided to give these a try after reading reviews. I decided on the 0.3mm pen tip since I like having the ability to write smaller (like packing a lot of words into a single square in a monthly day planner) and I'm super happy I gave it a chance!! These don't drag or skip (they write soooooo smooth) and the colors are brilliant. They write somewhat like writing with a 0.5 pencil lead, except colorful and permanent. I also bought the Pilot Hi-Tec-C Coleto 5 Color Multi Pen Body Component (set of 3), so I am able to organize all of the colors the way I want them between two pens.

The colors are clear & bright. The dark blue is almost black, but not quite. Found the orange and turquoise a little harder to read, but are wonderful for art. The fine point is smooth with no scratching or blobs. Works wonderfully with their pen & changing colors is very easy! I have bought individual colored pens from them before with no complaints. This seems to be par for the course.

The 0.3mm is really fine so I use it occasionally. The ink quality is great! It's so smooth and pigmented despite the tiny tip. I will order more in the 0.4mm size for frequent use. The assortment of colors is really nice as you get a little of every shade. Just remember: this is for a multi pen so there's little ink in the refills and I suggest buying all these colors INDIVIDUALLY IN FULL SIZE if you want longer lasting pens as these run out of ink FAST.

Love these pens. The extra fine point allow me to write comfortably in my small and bear handwriting. Not to mention I can have various colors using one pen. I could not pass up on such a good deal.

Hi-Tech C pens deliver an impressively thin, consistent, and smooth line... now available in a multicolor pen... awesome! These refills require you to have a multicolor pen body, which is available separately. They do not contain a lot of ink as they have a slim diameter, but the colors are marvelous for highlighting and underlining, grading, and annotating! You might get 30 pages of writing out of one of these.

I was concerned about the comments that it rips paper. Unfounded! You do have to have a gentler touch. The flow is smooth but not copious so you might feel inclined to press harder. Better for you to get the thicker nib like .5 The ink is very thin but no skipping. You might have to adjust your pressure when you switch from regular pens to this one. The refills are perfect for Kikki K Planners. No more scrambling for different pens, you just click and you're good to go. The colors I have in my pen are pink, light blue, purple and orange. I love this and am very motivated to use this in my planner - it makes me happy. Again, the flow of the ink is very thin but not light. Very great colors.

Like a previous reviewer I wondered if these would be too scratchy? However I have found that these write smoothly. They are good strong colours. I have ordered more as I really do like them. Fitting them into the holding pen is a bit fiddly but is not difficult with a little thought and care. Just don't try and force them as if you do you are doing it incorrectly and may cause damage. I do use good quality smooth paper which might not have been the case with the "scratchy" review.

This is great value, 10 colours and if you get two coletos for five colours you'l be sorted. A great selection and they write great, a good set to get you started.
