Great purchase and help from the makers.
After trying to find a headset that would work with my phone I emailed Plantronics, they responded in a day with the details of the model I needed for my phone. It is nice to be able to be 'hands free' when I need to type and be on a phone call at the same time. I do not use it that often so it sits on the cradle on constant charge which so far has not affected the battery life.Once you get to now how to transfer a call to the headset it is easy to use (which is reasonably simple but varies from various makes of phone - I had to change my phone one month after getting the headset, luckily tit works with the new phone as well)Good quality feel to the manufacture, comfortable to wear (it comes with different ear fitments), I would not hesitate to buy another one if/when I need to.

Great product... if it works?
Not sure what to think of this product, as it is a mixed bag.Pros:* Worked with our old Panasonic DECT cordless handset (KX series). Easy to synch (once you know what you're doing).* Clear sound and good range.* Comfortable over-head set.* Fabulous to be hands-free while doing other jobs around the house.* Good build quality.Cons:* After the initial charge, it does not seem to hold its charge for the 7 hrs' use its own blurb suggests.* Part of the charge problem may be that leaving the ear/mouthpiece in the cradle (without electricity) completely dissipates the charge.Plantronics Customer Care:Absolutely blooming' marvellous !! I fired off a quick email regarding the charge issue which resulted in a rapid response, with no-quibble instructions on how to get a replacement. The Online claim form was wonderfully short and simple (name, address, upload scan of receipt, item specs). Received a replacement via courier within a few days. With this replacement came pre-paid stickers to return the defunct item via same courier (no instructions on the procedure, but called couriers and they booked it). Stunningly efficient and painless. Conclusion:It works well in a domestic setting, really happy with how it sounds and works.I'm just slightly hesitant whether the internal rechargeables are ok (cannot be changed by user). Our second, replacement unit *may* suffer the same issue (only holds charge for a couple of hours and yet it's only a few weeks old).Cannot fault Plantronics, but should they have to do this?

It works.V well after initial paring
Plantronics Headset have always been good. Good quality and comfortable.Make sure you charge it for at least 3 hours.Tips on pairing. This one is fairly easy to do. You will need to pair it with the base station. Panasonic ones seem to work fine.Once paired it should show up as one of the devices in a group.Incoming calls - its just a case of clicking on the button to answer and end the call.Phoning out - make the call on the handset and then transfer to the headset. Answer as if answering a call (on the headset) and end the call on the handset.A number of people have commented on good the clarity at the other end is.Would buy again.

Works a treat
My Mum is disabled and struggles to hold her cordless phone up to her ear, so I needed headphones which would work with her landline phone (she is in her 80s and has no clue how to use a mobile). These were the only headphone I could find which were DECT and GAP compatible and weren't stupidly expensive (though dear enough!).The set up process with my Mum's BT call blocker phone was easy. Hold down the black button on the headphones for 3 seconds until the green light flashed, pressed the 'Find' button on the BT base and it paired no problem. However, do bare in mind the base station PIN on the DECT phone must be 0000 - if you've chosen your own pin it won't pair.So easy to pick up a call with these headphones - you just press the little silver button on the headphones and you're instantly connected. However, if a call is first picked up on the DECT handset it's more difficult to then transfer the call to the headphones.I haven't even attempted to make an outgoing call on the DECT handset, then transfer this to the headphones - it would be far too complicated for my mum.Sound quality on the headphones is excellent and because the earpiece is right over Mum's ear she can hear better on the headphones than she can on the DECT handset. All in all these headphones are great. A bit complicated to transfer calls for an elderly person, so we just accept the limitations of receiving calls only.

Distinctly Average
Sound quality is OK, not as clear as from my Panasonic phones. Could do with another click higher on the volume, not too much of a problem in my home office but may be in a busier environment. Battery life isn't fantastic, it only gives around 2 or 3 minutes warning when running low so make sure when you hear the first beep, get yourself a handset ready. Sound quality at the listeners end isn't as good as from the Panasonic handset either so I'm told.I have a large head, larger it would seem than Plantronics design their headbands for, needs another CM or two for me to be properly comfortable and secure on my head. All that said, it's saving me some neck ache so I'll stick with it for now but if I'd have known the above, would maybe have looked for a cheaper alternative. Don't think I'll be returning it to try others though, better the devil you know, etc

Great bit of kit
Excellent bit of kit. I easily synced this with my Panasonic Dect phones, I can make a call from the handset, when I hear the number ringing just activate the headset and hang up the handset. Call quality is great, headset is light and comfortable. Would recommend.
