No unfortunately the tops cannot be changed

Can I connect a further speaker from the aux out? For instance, to a separate amp and the other speaker into that?

if you use a active speaker you can use a double adapter on channel 1 hope this helps

This would depend on the usage, if you was just using bluetooth or a line input then you would not require a mixer
