Q: Whats the difference between this and the solar oil?

This is a keratin treatment which worked by strengthening the layers of the nail and it repairs nail damage such as flaking nails where the nail layers are coming apart. Solar oil works but providing the oils your nails and surrounding skin need to be healthy. Nails need a certain amount of oil and water or they will become either too dry (brittle) or too oiling (weak and bendy). You would use Solar oil to keep your nails healthy and RescueRXX to repair damaged nails. If you where someone who suffers really weak nail naturally even with Solar Oil, then you could use RescueRXX as well long term. Ideally you would use both when needed. Also if your someone who suffers from hang nails and excessive large eponychium skin folds, then you would use A-H-A Cuticle Eraser which you could think of as an exfoliating scrub which also moisturizes the skin. A-H-A Cuticle Eraser is aimed more at just the skin. RescueRXX is aimed at just the nail and Solar oil benefits both skin and nails. HTH

Hi, it's not a nail polish, it's more of a conditioner that you brush on and leave to soak in. I really like this product and my nails went through a bad phase, they did look and feel much better. It is used by my beauty shop and was recommended to me.

Q: Can you use this with polish on? Or is it designed to go over 'naked' nails?

It's Oil based so designed to go on bare nails. I use it as often as I can during the day in between Shellac treatments.
