Sorry don’t know! I’m still waiting to find out how to get washers as they didn’t send them out. So disappointed with my purchase

I haven't tried it, but I bought the cup and saucer from Whittards, as Amazon didn't stock them. The sales assistant told me I could use a diffuser in the teapot, but to be careful as it's made of fine bone China.
