A Handbook for Horticultural Students Paperback – 1 July 1994

I bought this because I have recently started the RHS Level 2 course and this book is designed to cover the whole syllabus. It's very clearly written and easy to use and will be great revision tool. Only problem I had was that Amazon sent me an old edition of the book which I had to return, so if you are considering buying this be aware that there is a 2011 edition which takes account of the 2010 updates to the RHS syllabus, so make sure that is the edition you are sent and not an older one which may not have the information you need.

This is an excellent book if you are studying RHS Level 2. I just wish I had found it sooner. It covers the entire course as far as I can see. If I was starting studying RHS L2 again I would plough through this book in its entirety as a first step for a solid grounding across the syllabus, and then go on with further reading around topics which warrant it. It is very readable, clearly and logically laid out with plenty of space on the page and consequently easy to digest. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Book is brilliant and very helpful full of pictures information charts every thing you need to learn about horticulture but the price is extremely expensive most students can’t afford the expense I would definitely recommend this book though just save up like I did no other horticulture book is better than this one that's a fact its an absolute must for horticultural students best thing I ever did was buying this book easy to understand and beautifully written

This book is very detailed and easy to understand for new students to horticulture. It covers all the essential areas for RHS, BTEC etc. Used alongside practical activities in a community garden, I've found the book's content very helpful.
