I had a lava lamp years ago & absolutely loved it & I must admit I wasn't *actually* looking for another when my standard stick with a lampshade on it bedside lamp of many moons finally gave up working - in fact I'd already put another generic lamp in my shopping basket ready to purchase but then I spotted this beauty! Well it was love at first sight & I just couldn't resist! The design...the colours...they took me right back to my younger days when I didn't fart or grunt when I got up off the sofa & could still wear heels! It was a no brainer & I couldn't wait for it to arrive! I was like a kid waiting for the ice cream van to come up the street looking out the window & checking my watch when I saw the delivery driver was just a few stops away & when they knocked on the door I was already behind it! So onto the assembly & first use - it was put together in only a few simple steps & in place in my bedroom ready to use in minutes. Once it'd warmed up & the wax started doing it's magic I was transfixed & I sat gazing in awe at it like a kid looking through the toy shop window! The colours & patterns it creates on the ceiling & walls as the wax moves are beautiful & the shapes it makes are just stunning! I'm so glad Amazon's algorithm suggested something actually useful for a change & am very pleased with my purchase! Just remember that when the wax bunches at the top your beautiful lamp needs a rest as it's become too hot so rather than writing a review stating it doesn't work properly & is rubbish etc just turn it off for a few minutes to allow it to cool down. Then once the wax has settled back down at the bottom you're ready to go again - simples!

Very disopointing for several reasons. Firstly (even after leaving it to warm up for 7.5 hours) it still did not light up as brightly as the picture displays and the purple wax bubbles do not look as defined as the picture, it kind of blends in to the colour of the liquid. So not as effective to look at. Secondly after just a few uses , it would not work, so after testing to see if there was any poewer going through the cable, i found out there was, so it was the bulb that had blown, how being screwed in you have to unscrew the screws to get the bulb out, on doing that and taking the bulb out, the pin type thing had bent and the bulb looked blown. Brought some new bulbs (as indicated on the inside of the stand, to get the right ones, and on placing them in to the base, the lamp still wouldnt work, asked my father to look at it further, and he shouwed me that the base bulb slot was damaged by the looks of it. I dont know if this wassent out from the manufactures like this, or was damaged when being delivered, as, like always with delivery drivers the box was just chucked down by the front door and left. either way, its had about 4 may be 5 uses. Now had to purchase another one, from a completely different store. Very Poor. Up to you if you take the chance to purchase, but would recommend you pay that little bit more for a decent, well known brand and make. The only good thing i would say, was the delivery was quick and its a nice size with a nice lengh cable with built in on/off switch.

So far so good, nice lavalamp for decoration. Took a while for the wax to separate into small bubbles

Amazing! Really simple to build, works great and is a solid build. Light could be slightly brighter but I assume it can be replaced for cheap.

The built quality isn’t too good, had these (bought 2) for just over 5 months now, replaced the lamp inside twice in each and today the unit blew up at the lamp section, photos attached, completely not working!!. I will contact the seller but looks like these will be be binned or sent back due to fire risks!

Broke after 6 days, tried changing fuse and bulb, with no success - avoid

This doesn't work! I bought the ride bulb but it still won't turn on.

Worked for exactly 5 hours.

Came with wrong plug . Plug is for UK and it’s for Aussie power . Now we need a converter .......
