Fantastic quality tools in a really rugged case.
You really can't beat Bahco for good quality at a decent price. I love their socket sets and this is my third one. I now have the full range. Not only are the tools good, but the cases they supply them in are top quality. They are not the cheap flimsy blown plastic type cases that fall apart after a few months of use. The catches on the case are also of a decent quality. I can't recommend these sockets enough.

Used with impactor drill, good enough for me
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Bahco S138 1/2" Socket Set, and I must say it's an impressive collection of tools. This 18-piece set comes neatly organized in a durable, removable plastic case, which is perfect for both storage and transportation. Build Quality and Design: The sockets and tools in this set are constructed from high-performance alloy steel with a matte finish, giving them a robust and professional appearance. The sockets feature Bahco's Dynamic-Drive™ profile, designed to reduce wear and prevent damage to fasteners, which is a significant advantage over standard sockets. Functionality and Versatility: The set includes a comprehensive range of 1/2" hex sockets from 10mm to 32mm, covering a wide variety of common sizes. The inclusion of a 1/2" ratchet with a quick-release button and 60 teeth/6° action angle ensures smooth and precise operation in tight spaces. Additionally, the set contains extension bars (5" and 10"), a universal joint, T-adaptor, and a breaker bar with a comfortable two-component handle, offering exceptional versatility for various applications. Ease of Use: I found the quick socket release button on the ratchet to be particularly convenient, allowing for swift socket changes without fuss. The ratchet itself operates smoothly, and the ergonomic design of the breaker bar handle makes loosening stubborn fasteners less taxing on the hands. Portability and Storage: The compact and organized layout of the set within the HDPE case makes it easy to store and carry around. The removable three-section plastic box with a secure lid keeps all the components neatly arranged and readily accessible. Compliance with Standards: It's worth noting that the Bahco S138 set complies with ISO 1174 and DIN 3120 standards, ensuring that these tools meet rigorous quality and performance criteria. Overall Impression: In conclusion, the Bahco S138 1/2" Socket Set is a top-notch product that delivers exceptional quality, functionality, and versatility. Whether you're a professional mechanic or a DIY enthusiast, this set provides everything you need for various tasks with confidence. The build quality, thoughtful design features, and compliance with international standards make it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking reliable and durable socket tools. Rating: 5/5 I highly recommend the Bahco S138 1/2" Socket Set based on its performance, quality, and value for money. It's undoubtedly a must-have addition to any tool collection.

Quality well beyond price
After getting a sealey set (and returning it due to poor quality of tools and broken case) I decided to get separate sets of Bahco. The quality of these tools is simply amazing, the build and finish is great, and the case itself will last (very sturdy). The rachet itself is very, very smooth. This is a steal and easily worth multiple times the cost.

Not too bad, ratchet lets it down
Good value, done the job. Ratchet does stick sometimes tho 😑

Should have bought these if they were available 30 years ago
3+ decades ago didn't know I would be using sockets and spanners as much as I did as a DIY and home mechanic. Had I known then I would have saved up a bit more to buy a good set such as this Bahco instead of cheap quality import. A mistake because the main ratchet drive soon gave up and spent money on another set. Fast forward 2021 to this Bahco set. It is good quality. Even the case is well thought out; there is even a container space to hold a few nuts that you have undone. Reckon this set will still be sound long after I am dead and gone. This is good quality without the extra options and expense of Wera. Don't get me wrong, I have a number of sets of tools by Wera but I use sockets the least so don't feel inclined to buy Wera sockets. Anyhow, this set ahs 10mm, 13, 17 and 19; the sizes I use most often.

Bahco is the way to go
Bahco sockets have quite a reputation, very good price for very good quality. Closest rivals probably are Teng sets (more expensive), and Halford's Advanced, especially when half price ;) Main reason I went for Bahco set is 6 point hex sockets instead of 12 bi-hex on Halfords. Less chance to round a nut. Also rubberized handles on Bahco is nice feature to have instead of bare metal ones of Halford's. Highly recommended.

I will break you - oh no you won’t!!
This set arrived on time and just as I was trying to replace the discs and pads on all four corners of my old Range Rover with a socket set I bought from Halfords years ago. Now don’t get me wrong I thought the set from Halfords was good quality and had served me well for years but it isn’t a hex set and some of the bolts I was trying to remove were at serious risk of being rounded off hence this purchase. Believe me when I say I don’t think you’ll find better quality for the price. I had to take a breaker bar to some of these bolts and apply A LOT of pressure and I am a big bloke and everything held together perfectly. I have broken sockets and bars in the past but this set has easily passed the test. One of the best purchases I have made in years.

Heavy duty set. Worth the price, better than snap on.
