New! LED Driver Transformer 240V - 12V with Terminal Blocks, 0.5 to 12W / 240v AC to 12v DC/Zero Interference with Dab and WiFi

I used this to supply 1 MR16 4Watt lamp fitted to a downlighter set into a ceiling. It was perfect for this application, it is worth remembering that it can only supply 12Watt at 12Volts ie 1 A max as a lamp requires 0.3A this means it can only supply 3 lamps maximum, I doubt it can supply an LEDstrip with numerous LEDs. I use 1 transformer for each lamp in the ceiling so it is working well within the specification and should have a reasonably long life Pros Cheap Small, fits easily through the cutout in the ceiling for the lamp fitting Cons 1second delay on switching on (if that matters in the application) Terminal blocks very small with the wires very close together with the danger of a short circuit if care is not taken Bared wires must be very short (3mm) to fit into the terminal blocks which must be firmly tightened

Easy to install and works a treat. What is even better about this LED driver over and above many others on the market is that this has screw terminals rather than spring loaded ones, and includes a cord grip as part of each terminal corer. Highly recommended!

This LED driver transformer is adequate for the job, but a bit fiddly to fit. One obvious design flaw is that the screws holding the terminal covers in place do not fit the profile of either Posi or Philips screwdrivers. This makes the job of fitting them harder than it needs to be, especially if working in a tight space. If you are fitting a lot of them, this could get annoying as you struggle to tighten the screws. Bear in mind that the covers not only protect the terminals, but also act as cable grips; so it is important they are not left loose. The terminal screws do not suffer from the same issue as the cover screws, but you need to take care with the terminal blocks because they are only held in place by soldered connections to the PCB. They could easily twist if you apply too much torque. The transformer provides instant illumination as soon as the lights are switched on and a short delay after switching off before the LEDs extinguish: this can be a bit disconcerting if using them alongside transformers of a different make that switch off instantly. One thing I did notice is the wide temperature range over which the transformer claims to work. I have encountered transformers that struggled at low temperatures and caused lights to flicker slightly until they warmed up. This has never been an issue with this transformer, which is a definite plus point.

Neat and with easy to access terminals. Simple to make the required connections and input and output sides neatly labelled. Does the job so next we'll see how long it lasts. Not sure about the claims that it does not interfere with WiFi . I did not have any interference before fitting and no change after fitting. The failed unit (4 years old) was just close to its power limit on the number of lamps it was feeding. This unit delivers slightly more output if needed so I'd expect the added reserve to lead to a longer life. Time will tell.

I used this to fit some LEDs along with a motion sensor switch to my wife's dressing table mirror so every time she opened the mirror up the LEDs would come on (see picture). The motion sensor didn't come with a driver so needed one ASAP. Build quality is good and feels safe when fitted and wiring is relatively simple with a diagram right on the front of the transformer. The price is also competitive when compared to other sites. I recommend this product.

Used as a replacement for cooker hood lights at a fraction of the price for an original part. Works and easy to fit.

Fitted this to replace an existing transformer. So far so good. Drives the LED fine, no flicker on the bulb. The unit itself is a little big - it just about fit in to the roof once it was wired up! It didn't come with any wires so make sure you have any cables you need! The only issue I have with this is that there is a slight delay from turning on the power till the light actually comes on. It's noticeable, especially when my other bulbs come on before the one with the new transformer!

I used these to replace the drivers I had before which flickered intermittently. They are to drive 9w led bulbs which genuinely are equivalent to 50watt plus traditional bulbs. One for each bulb has worked brilliantly. No delay turning on. No flicker. The connectors are small and a little fiddler but after fitting 12 it takes me about 5 minutes from start to finish changing one. If anything changes I will update.

Acheté pour remplacer un "vieux" transfo 220 v / 12 v (en courant alternatif) qui ne convenait absolument pas pour remplacer des ampoules halogène par des lampes LED. Un transfo délivrant 12 v en courant continu était nécessaire. Connexion des fils très pratique et bonne construction. Aucun problème détecté. Maintenant, mes LED éclairent parfaitement : que demander de plus pour un achat de moins de 10 € ?

J'ai acheté ce transformateur pour diviser un lot de 12 spots encastrables qui n'étaient livrés qu'avec un seul transformateur. Le branchement des fils est très facile et solide. Le support est pré-percé pour une fixation aisée.
