I had never heard of a tea infuser mug. When I learned about them, I liked the concept and wanted one for myself. This mug is fabulous. I will never be without one.Great features of this particular model are: 1) The clear glass that allows me to see the color and amount of tea. This helps me judge the state of steeping. 2) The excellent metal basket for holding loose tea or a tea bag, or tea with some add-ins like a slice of lemon. The holes are small and I believe you could even brew coffee in this, though I have not tried it. 3) The metal lid that helps keep the tea hot for an amazingly long time, and which serves to hold the basket when the tea is ready to drink.This is a great product and I may give some as gifts.The person that introduced me to infuser mugs has a ceramic model with large holes in the basket. Small bits of tea leaf enter the tea mug through these holes. The metal basket in the Ecooe model I'm reviewing is better than that. It is also better than our old egg style infuser because the holes in that infuser are much larger.Other features: Cleanup is easy too. And it looks great.

I ordered four of these cups (one for each member of our family), and we’ve used them every day since they arrived. They’re nice to drink out of and large enough to hold iced drinks as well as hot. Lattes, in particular, look pretty in them, and while that’s not necessarily important, it is kind of fun.The infuser basket is large, which is perfect for loose leaf teas—it really gives the tea leaves room to unfurl and expand. The mesh is fine, and it blocks all but the tiniest particles. We’ve brewed green, black, and Korean citron tea (marmalade type) in them with no trouble. In general, we do buy higher quality tea with larger leaves. You might get more particles with finer tea.The glass does feel thin and delicate, but we haven’t had any trouble yet, and my teens aren’t particularly careful with them while helping with dishes.If we had more cabinet space, I’d probably order four more. I really love that the 16 oz. size makes them large enough to double as drinking glasses, and it’s always handy to have extra infuser baskets on hand.

I order very wonderful, medicinal loose leaf herbal teas from Upful Blends on Instagram. These teas have helped manage extremely painful menstruation cycles due to adenomiosis. They are super charged and hand crafter. Just pure magic. I absolutely depend on these teas to live and am always seeking ways to brew a cup that allows the herbs to steep for a few days increasing the potency. Like a tincture. This glass beauty does the trick. Elegant design and super fine sifter that leaves not a speck behind but the good stuff. If I ever break it, I'll order another.

I've been using the mug almost everyday for a while now, decided to try this one because my ceramic mugs keep cracking from temp changes. So far this mug is great it takes the temp changes no problem even though the glass is thin. Handle is pretty good even for someone with bigger hands. The strainer works great like how big it is really lets the leaves expand. Keeps the heat surprisingly well also. Only downside to this mug is it gets really especially the stainless steal top. It can be difficult to take it off after steeping it gets so hot not too big of a deal though. Overall great mug for the price.

Easy to use and great quality

I love my cup of hibiscus or jasmine tea every night. This makes it so easy for me to enjoy it. The sieve is so easy to clean those flower petals bits off and it gives me a nice hearty amount. Best purchase I have made in a while. It's really sleek and stylish as well!

This cup is now my go-to for all hot and cold stuff like coffee, tea, oatmeal, desert etc. The handle is roomy and comfortable. The glass is not too thin nor thick, light in the hand but I don't feel like I have to be super careful about breaking/chipping it. It can go from the refrigerator right into the microwave. The cylinder shape makes it feel sturdy as it does not tip over easily. It holds a little more than a regular cup. Even though the strainer's mouth is the same diameter as my two other ones, it has a narrow brim which actually makes it wider and easier to pour into and out of. The cup is functional, versatile and good looking.

The cup and diffuser are as advertised. However, it neglects to tell you that while using 212 degree water to steep your tea, the metal diffuser, metal top and even the cup itself is to hot to use or touch until it either cools down or you use a kitchen towel or pot holder to remove the metal parts and then be careful when you sip your tea. I was disappointed because I had also purchased the same item for a good friend and will not have to find a replacement for both of us.
