Excellent, simple to mix product that does the job
I've been experimenting with different marbling sizes and this one is by far the best so far. It's not cheap but it works and is simple to mix. If your thinking of buying carrageenan iota or kappa because you get a lot for your money DON'T!! It won't work and you'll waste your time and money! Carrageenan Lambda is the one for marbling and is expensive and difficult to get the magic consistency right. I think this Pabeo Marbling Bath is pretty equal price wise with less waiting time and for a beginner easier to reach the elusive magic thickness ;) The instructions say 3tsps to 1ltr of water, I found this a bit too thick for me, I use 2tsps to 1ltr, I just use tap water, if your areas hard water use distilled water. I prefer mixing 1ltr at a time and adding it to the marbling bath, I find it mixes very easily and doesn't lump like this. Measure a litre of water, sprinkle 1tsp powder on top, mix with a hand whisk, add another 1tsp powder, mix again then pour into your container and repeat process till you get the amount of size you want. Leave for 2hrs. Then get on with your marbling ;)

Don't waste your time & supplies by trying to marble WITHOUT it!!
Learn from my mistakes & don't try to marble without this!! I tryed using Pebeo marbling inks with water thickened with cornflour & altho the inks floated & marbled they slid right off the paper! I then tryed the same technique but treated the paper with alum first & the ink still just slid right off. So as a last ditch attempt I bought this product & wish I had done in the first place. Having read reviews I mixed 1 heaped teaspoon with 1 liter of water, this gave the water a nice thick but not jelly like substance. I marbled paper treated with alum which came out great, the ink held even after rinsing the paper. I had a little treated water left of topped it up with some extra water & tried some untreated paper & found that this worked just as well as the fully thickened water & alum treated paper. So even diluted further & used on plain untreated paper this product worked wonders for me!!

Okay but very pale.
I got these as a treat, they're a big pricier than what I'd normally pay for multiple inks but loved the colour. They were easy to use and add colour to the water but the actual colours left on the paper were very faded. The ink all sunk to the bottom of the basin and then what was left on top created quite a faint marbling effect as you can see. I did try again and again to build up the colour but it didn't get much darker than that. For something so vibrant in the bottle to come out so bland was disappointing.

works well
Have produced some very successful marbled prints with this. I don't undersatnd the chemistry of how it works, but for small scale marbling it is very cost effective and efficient.

This takes practice
I can't compare this product to other marbling products, as this is the only one I have used. It took a bit of tweaking, and I found it easy to put too much thickener in. The powered dissolved evenly and easily.

Very confusing and difficult to use - NOT recommended
Bought this to complement pebeo marbling inks. The idea being that you add this to the water bath on which you will float the inks, and the water becomes thicker and better able to support the weight of the ink - so the ink doesn't sink into the water bath. I followed the instructions to the letter and was greatly disappointed. The minute you introduce water to the powder, it turns to cement-like texture. No amount of vigorous whisking would get the lumps out. I even tried a blender stick, and finally my nutribullet. The mix was still lumpy and odd. I used it for marbling and wished I hadn't. The water bath mix stuck to the marbled paper and generally made a mess of things. I craft a lot and am usually very adept at this sort of thing, so thought maybe I had had a bad batch. No. Another very crafty friend has had the same experience with this product. I do NOT recommend this product at all.
