Great pen for a reduced-risk lifestyle.
Fisher AG7 with diamond machine engraving of commemorative Apollo 11 mission (not gold - it's the brass body of the pen showing through the etched chrome outer layer).Mechanism is solid and secure in use, although spring could be stronger to prevent accidental activation in pocket. Unit is rather top heavy design (I prefer the Shuttle CH series as these are better balanced but much slimmer), and that can affect long term writing use. Refill is typical Fisher med/black, and I have found these to be a little hit or miss in past. Mine worked great with no sticking or skips in use, but some I have had have been so viscous that they barely want to write at all). Nothing overly classy in the design - purely functional, but NASA approved does carry bragging rights. 5th I have owned (some have wandered off over the years). Chrome plating does eventually begin to wear (an older one I have from about 12 years ago shows significant show-through of the brass body around clip and button area). In truth, do I need a pen that can write over oil, underwater, in freezing conditions or upside down.... well sometimes. I'm outdoors a lot, so writing flat and level isn't always possible (we've all leaned against a wall and had our pen run dry after a few seconds). I travel a lot for my job, and despite lower cabin pressure on aircraft, I've not experienced ink seepage/ blobbing. Writing on a variety of surfaces can be useful (though not practical in reality), and modern ball pens rarely fail to function unless you are massively below zero (arctic conditions). For people with an extreme lifestyle, or who work in extreme environments, I'd highly recommend the Fisher Refills for what ever pen you use, and this is a lovely pen for daily carry, just too expensive on most sites for what it is.Paid under £30 here in UK (March 2016), but typical price is around £50. Have bought many over the years, would continue to buy again when needed. Any Fisher pen is great to have, this one all the nicer for the engraving.

Would never leave home (or the planet) without it!!
Not just because I think it's a "cool" pen - this pen is the BEST writing device I own. I've tried all kinds of pens over the year, even some costing several hundreds of euros, but this is by far my favorite. Not just the great background story, the pen it easy to use, writes brilliantly (yes it even writes over oil & grease) excelling and novel locking mechanism. But my favorite feature is the "rough" part to the case at the base of the pen, it NEVER slips from your hand when writing like some other sleek metal pens might. If you want one pen for life - this is the one.

Perfect writing tool
Just a great writing tool. Once you use a Fisher there isn't really a possibility of going back. Smooth, consistent, and endless. Perfect for writing in any conditions. The engraving is also beautiful, and the pen is well balanced, some people may find them short, light, and thin, but they are well made and last forever. These are my writing tools of choice and have been for almost 30 years

Excellent Product
This was a present for our son's 50th birthday which he absolutely loves. Although there was a delay in delivery due to coming from USA but the wait was worth it eventually and it arrived in time for the birthday celebrations.

Nice solid weight to the pen
A classic pen with lots of info on it elsewhere, so I won't discuss it in detail. Only improvement is that the spring seems rather weak - which is mentioned by other users online in forums.Nice solid weight to the pen, top heavy. Excellent detailed engraving on the pen. The engraved grip is not too aggressive, yet provides a positive hold on the pen.

Really nice, well made pen for collectors
Well received by recipient of this gift, engraving is super high quality, really lovely pen for people who enjoy Fisher Space Pens or who have an interest in the Apollo missions. Comes with a black medium refill in a lovely presentation box.

Rattles
Nice pen, heavy and has a cool story behind it. Mine rattles alot, I think its because the ink cartridge is too small so it moves around inside the pen. Dissopointing when spending £50.
