Well worth the price!
I've been using this headset for a while now and there are a lot of pros! Bear in mind, I'm a sound designer and I can be overly picky!Pros:- Rich, clear sound for both Films and Games. Both on the PS4 and my Gaming Laptop. Also makes hearing those footsteps in fame. Although they're not surround sound, you do get a little surround in there.- In line volume control is easy to use.- Cable is super long and well made. It comes with the 1 female to 2 male audio splitter so it can work for a gaming laptop/PC that has separate Mic and Headphone ports.- Mic quality is superb. Picks me up very well and I can be heard very clearly. Also helps to have a GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION for this.- Lightweight and not too tight! I have a big head and they were tight at first, but they loosen a little.Cons:- They're not surround sound. It's a picky point, but only minor!- They're not Sennheiser or Bose in quality of sound. They're great for the price, but you will get better if you pay more.- They feel a little flimsy in the design and materials. Again this is me being mega picky.Overall, for what you're paying, you get a decent headset! I would definitely recommend these!

TLDR: They sound great when paired with a spacial audio app, otherwise they sound awful.
So I bought these with zero expectation of them actually sounding good. I have headphones for that purpose but I just wanted something more convenient for being able to talk to friends while sat, gaming on the settee.Out the box they sound pretty much how you would expect, horribly boxy, no presence and a low end that is waaaayyyyy too much for a pair of headphones (seriously, it's like I've got a bass bin strapped to my head).But... and this is a huge "but" (ahem)... then, something weird happened.I use the Razer Surround app as I think it does a pretty damn good job of giving a fake sense of spacial audio, to the point where it often sounds more convincing than the pair of 7.1 cans I have (with multiple drivers). So after listening to a bit of music on them and writing them off for having any chance of getting decent audio out of them, I then turned on Razer Surround and played a movie in 5.1 (it was Mogley from Netflix, and as if my magic, these things suddenly sounded awesome! They were by no means perfect but the great thing about Razer Surround is that you can use the EQ at the end to then adjust things further so it really helped me add some presence and tone down that bass. After this, just for fun I tried the Dolby Atmos app that basically does the same thing, but without the EQ or other features and straight out the box with no messing around with EQ or anything else, Dolby Atmos made these my new favourite headphones for watching movies or playing video games on.It's worth me pointing out that I have been a musician for the last 20 years (with more tours and shows than I can remember under my belt), plus I worked for 7 years as a front of house engineer in established live music and theatre venues and I've spent the last 6 years working in the film industry so when it comes to audio, I know my eggs (just to add some sort of credibility to this review, which I know I personally look for when buying new audio kit).I would never recommend these as headphones to buy purely for a great listening experience and I would never recommend them for music, but somehow with that big-old bass coming in it's like the Dolby Atmos app manages to leverage that for re-mapping the Sub where other headphones might end up lacking in that department. My favourite headphones for my knackered ears are the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II's. They are reasonably priced and sound a million times better than any Beats by Dre or Bose QC35's (which I also have) so if you want something with a great flat response that are awesome for mixing as well as listening go get them (it's why they are used in venues and studios all around the world). But if you want something that actually has that bit of colour that brings out more of the movie or gaming experience, then this crappy plastic, cheap gaming headset, coupled with either Dolby Surround or Razer Surround have now become my go to headphones and it's still so bizarre to me that this is the case that I almost feel silly writing it.The last things to point out are:As a test for gaming I tried them out with Star Citizen. The sound design is incredibly, especially around the city areas and around bars and things where you can hear so much going on all around you. A ship took off over my head and that bass I hated so much to begin with made it feel like I had an actual ship with actual giant engines passing me by.Finally, for the headset itself, the microphone isn't the best but I've had no complaints and I only really use this for Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen of which both of these games process the audio to make it sound compressed and distorted anyway so really the crappiness of the mic kind of makes that more convincing according to a friend of mine.It has a handy little box near the user-end of the cable with a mute on/off switch, a volume dial and a nice little clip to attach it to your shirt or whatever, plus the cable is a decent length. It has a 3 ring wiring by default which I believe is probably for console users and it has a splitter to then turn this into a 3.5mm headphone jack and separate mic jack for plugging into a PC.The build quality is what you would expect, it's made of a light plastic and I think if you trod on them you'd break them. I bought black and orange as they looked cool in the picture - these were NOT even remotely black. They are a 20% grey at least so I'd keep that in mind. The ear pads aren't that kind of faux leather that you get on a lot of cans so the isolation isn't great but they are nice, big and airy and I find that the faux leather ones get sweaty with longer use and that sweat will eventually make the pads perish.Lastly, my head has a very low profile so there isn't much distance between my hears and the top of my head. I've had headphones and hats in the past that don't sit properly on my head because of this where as these sit nice and snug, with the band resting firmly on the top of my head and the cans in position and there is plenty of room to open them out if need be.All in all, these things are fairly cheap and Amazon's returns policy is the best in the world so what have you got to lose?

One of the best sounding headsets for the money.....
I bought this after using my low quality cheap headphones for about a year....When the package came to the door, I was impressed with its packaging, as a first impression is important. As soon as I put the headphones on, I instantly noticed the amazing comfort that is provided, when plugging in the headphones I found out that the cable is impressively long, with a Velcro strap to manage to cable if it too long. I tested the sound quality on teamspeak and recorded using audacity, it is very good quality unlike most headsets that have lots of static, the sound quality is very good, especially in games like CS:GO where you need to use sound to hear people's position. The design of the headphones is really nice, similar to the more expensive Logitech headsets, with a red outline, although some other colour options would be nice - like blue, white etc.Overall, this is a great headset, I will not be replacing any time soon... if you use voice communication a lot, you may want to purchase an external mic as that's always nice....EDIT: Been a few months since I wrote this and the headset is still going strong, I’m extremely happy with the results and it has survived my gamers rage very well (getting angry and slamming my headset on the floor - still in great condition)
