Bargain Purchase, Easy to Assemble
I was looking for a boom arm that offered a great balance of affordability, quality, and ease of use. This Neewer boom arm delivers on all fronts. For the price, the build quality is outstanding. The arm extends far enough and reaches the perfect height for my setup. I'm currently using a Fifine K669b microphone and the arm gives it a clean, professional look. It's been securely mounted on my desk & I haven't had to tighten it once. The quality is fantastic. If you're reading this and considering a boom arm, I highly recommend this Neewer model. It's excellent value for the money and worth every penny.

Absolute bargain buy! Radio and Music artists usage review! (Details in review)
Absolutely brilliant product, exactly what I was looking for. Recently bought a Rode NT-USB Mic with Rode PSM1 crash mount and pop-filter, and I didn't particularly fancy spending £61 on the Rode Stand. The Neewer mic stand clamps perfectly on to the back of my desk, is easily adjustable, (Pivoting and redirecting), comes already assembled, (looks a little small at first, but folds out and reaches really far whilst still giving clear visibility and clearance over a laptop. One concern I had was whether it would be able to withstand the weight of the microphone, however the hinges can be tightened to an extent that prevent them be weighed down, but also can be easily moved by hand.I bought this to be able to record radio portfolio work for my University application and future coursework, (as well as work for my Radio show for when I'm to lazy to go to the station), and this is perfect as it makes no background noise! Also let my music artist friend use it from time to time and even she's told me how much she loves it and how it provides perfectly for what she needs!Brilliant product, absolute bargain!

Absolutely fantastic, Good quality And Build!!!!
I was after an boom arm that was low cost yet very good build and easy to use regards to moving the arm back and fourth. With that It's an amazing boom arm for the money and it's extremely tough built with very good springs. I had this for over an month for usage of Steaming and YouTube and so far I had no problems,to be honest I love it. The arm does expand out and at an good height that I needed it to be. At the moment I'm using an body microphone that is design for wearing on your body and the cable is so thin that it goes inside the hole of the frame and it looks very tidy and a pro. It's been on my desk ever since the first day and never came loss. Absolutely fantastic in terms of the actual quality and those that are reading the reviews and looking for an boom arm then I 100% recommend that you getting his Neewer boom arm it's worth the money and the time. Thanks

Not bad, just watch out for that default pull positioning button.
The Amazon description contains the words 'heavy duty', and the packaging features the word 'professional' four times, in large print. It is neither heavy duty nor professional. They're calling it that to flatter their target market (amateur home users, just like me). It's a misuse and debasement of language. If you really need a heavy duty professional stand (and you almost certainly don't) then go to a site dedicated to proper studio equipment (i.e. not this one) where you will find a selection of heavy duty professional stands. They will of course have proper heavy duty professional prices, typically £100 - £150. This thing costs a tenner. Come on, be realistic. You get what you pay for.OK, gripe over. Considered as a piece of light duty amateur equipment it's actually not bad at all. Its modest dimensions (each arm is about 350mm) make it ideal for small desktops or other confined spaces (i.e. most home studios). The clamp is metal (some sort of alloy), much better than the flimsy plastic ones which can't be tightened up without bending or breaking. The two thumbscrews are a waste of time (the upper one has little to no effect, the bottom one is pointless) but it doesn't matter as the frame is built with bolts which can be adjusted for stiffness. I have tried it with an SM58 (about 300 grams) and a hefty large-diaphragm condenser in a shock mount (about 550 grams), both with thick cables attached, and they stayed put without drifting down. The supplied microphone clip is OK, the right size for a 58, but all its threads are plastic so it won't last long. That's about all there is to say about it.Except this, and I quote verbatim from the packaging. 'Warm prompt: Generally, the default pull positioning button is setting in screw hole with primary requirement.' Enough said, we can take a hint.

Great stand for Blue Snowball - beware to check the thread!
This stand is a must for any microphone owners. I have attached my Blue Snowball microphone (which is a rather heavy microphone) and a pop filter to the stand. Both the stand and microphone both feel very sturdy and there's no movement in position during use. It's a great buy, especially for the price.Just be aware that you should definitely check the thread of your microphone if you do not intend to use the provided microphone clip. This stand has a 3/8" screw and you may require an adaptor (5/8" Male to 3/8" Female Screw Thread Adapter) to successfully attach your microphone to the stand directly. Note that the stand *does not* provide a thread adaptor and you'll have to buy this separately.*CORRECTION* A removable thread adaptor is provided, which must be removed from the microphone clip. You’ll probably need a pair of pliers to do so (I thought it was glued in)!
