Great book
I really like this book for kids! It gives a variety of mathematical concepts in kid friendly language. It’s perfect for the mathematician’s kid!

Good for toddlers, kids and sone grown ups
I love the idea of teaching basic math concepts to young kids - or at least familiarizing them. We have enough The Ciw Says Moo type books. This whole series is brilliant. Imagine getting a roomful of first graders who weren’t at all shy of math.

Durable Board Book Introducing Keywords
As a mathematician, I purchase this for all of my friends when they have children. It's a quality board book. Durable, as expected, for a board book. The concepts are definitely not for toddler (some of my friends don't know a handful of the letters), but it's a fun book.Maybe not the best for teaching your child how to read, but could be fun to switch things up and add some counting in with the alphabet.

So cute!
I teach mathematics at the high school level and bought this for a baby gift. I love it so much and want one for my classroom! I really think it is neat how they have words to practice with baby but then also has descriptions that kids could use throughout their schooling. More than a baby book!

My husband loves this book
My husband is a big math guy. We just had a baby and I got him this book for Christmas. He thought it was amazing and has read it to the baby multiple times. It is definitely more of a book for the adults reading than for the kids as the words are pretty advanced, but the big thing or babies is the connections made reading to the baby my husband loves to read it to her, so it has been a win in my house.

Love it!
Bought this book when my baby was 4 months old. He is now 9 months and this is definitely his favorite book.

A+. And as a professor whose scale only actually goes to A, that is saying something.
With the recent influx of friends-who-have-babies in my life, I have browsed and purchased several Fundamental Mathematics books for the very-young, including this one. (Which is what you /do/ as the "Math Friend")Out of all of those, this one exceeds the others by a statistically significant amount. I appreciated the wide variety of mathematical topics that got a presence in this book, beyond the usual arithmetic and basic algebra. Each page not only has the standard "A is for ____" format, but also includes a basic sentence that explains the topic. And, to my delight, a second sentence or two that adds further vocabulary or insight to the Letter's Topic. There were joyous exclamations. Really.Definitely a must-have for all enlightened infants.
