I bought this for my culinary class, and I can definitely see myself using it for years. this tool is so useful!! and really compact, it fits perfectly into the breast pocket of my chef's coat, as well as my pants. Plus you can cut on top of it and it won't scratch easily (if you are gentle), but just beware of whether cutting on the grid will dull your knife or not. I use shun/henckels knives, and found that out the hard way!

Saw that a fellow classmate in the culinary dept at my school had one of these. I asked her where she got it and found it after a little searching. I opted for the smaller one. It fits in my knife kit just right. I love it for practicing my knife cuts. It has helped tremendously to give me a frame of reference when I am attempting to perfect my cuts. It is sturdy not flimsy, the text on it is clear and apparently doesn't wash or rub off. The informational text is helpful too. I would definitely recommend this to any student in the culinary arts field who is serious about improving their knife cuts.

My hubs entered culinary school and I bought this as a little congrats gift. He loved it and on his second day of school, the instructor told them to all get this little tool to help them… my hubs was like MY AWESOME WIFE BOUGHT ME ONE OF THOSE!!!! Okay, maybe he didn’t say awesome, but I think I’m pretty awesome 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways, he loves it and has used it numerous times! Highly recommend!!!!

My first one was bent pretty severely due to Amazon packaging. But the second one was great. A little sharp on the edges but perfect for school and seems good quality.

I bought this when I started culinary school 2 years ago to help practice my knife cuts. I graduate this spring and this little card still holds up great. Barely any wear on the writing even though it has seen extensive use.

If you are planning on going to culinary school or a friend of yours is, get this! It is a life saver for the first couple of skills and cuts classes! Once one gets enough experience cutting and measuring it becomes useless since you won’t really pull it out any more. Just guesstimate the size like the rest of the chefs.

This was a product that my culinary student daughter was suggested to purchase as a "nice to have" tool in her introductory class by her professional chef teacher. After receiving it, I would say that this is a must have for a serious cook of any type. It's compact, easy to read, and handy. If you have a cook in the family, I bet they would appreciate this as a gift.
