Works well and will stretch
I bought the 1 inch inside diameter and it is able to stretch to a little over 1.5 inches. It snaps right back into the smaller size once it is around the object which makes it very useful for going over fittings. It can be cut with normal scissors, but you need a little force, a razor or very sharp shears works better. I took loose pieces of the fiberglass and held it under a butane torch and they acted as typical fiberglass and did not catch fire, but did eventually melt. Great product.

Perfect heat protection
If you have fuel lines or other things under a very hot hood like we did. A V8 crammed into a small old classic with headers. This does the trick to prevent damage or fuel flashing from heat.

Great product.
Excellent product, used on starter wire on 67 automobile, tested with my finger over the flame on the stove, 4min and just got warm inside with no visible damage to sleeve, I’d recommend this.

Does what it says but smokes a lot
Used it to cover a generator exhaust extension out of my garage and keep the heat down. Well..... its does that but filled my garage with rubber smoke. It smokes a lot. I'll give it 4 stars for doing what it claimed to do, keeping the heat contained, but the smoke is a deal breaker for me and I'll be removing it and replacing it with kevlar header wrap.

Lives up to their claims
I wasn’t holding out much hope as to this product’s claim of being able to withstand a constant 800 degrees and up to 1200 momentarily. I decided to test it with a heat gun that I own. The gun will only go up to 1100 degrees, but this product held up fine without any evidence of outgassing, smoking or catching on fire.Considering the price of ASTM/UL rated equivalents being in the 3X cost range, it was worth a try. I will report back if I encounter issues with it after installing.
