Third time's a charm
I've tried two other patches to cover my sensors. I swim almost every day and found that the adhesive would give out before the sensor if left on its own. I tried two clear ones--they didn't really last the whole two weeks, so I would wait a while before putting the shield on and hope that I didn't knock it off in the meantime. And knocking them off was a problem--who knew I walked into door frames so often? Not me until I started wearing these! I've knocked sensors out after just two to three days of use. Doorways are the worst, but if I adjusted the location further back on my arm to avoid them, I would end up hooking and dislodging the sensor on the edge of my bed. So frustrating! The thin clear shields I was using didn't provide enough protection once I put them on. While they prevented me from ripping the sensor off my arm completely, they did not stop me from knocking them bad enough to damage the connection. With these shields, the plastic shield that fits under these is a great addition. It offers more protection from the knocks, but it also means that I can change the adhesive patch as often as needed without disturbing the sensor. I find that I usually need about a patch a week. The patches themselves feel more secure than the clear ones, are easier to put on, and are more comfortable because of the stretch in them. I considered deducting a star because they are also uglier and more noticeable, but I kept it at five stars because I'm so pleased with their overall performance. Update: I continue to like these better than any other sensor shield that I've tried. The plastic cover allows me to change the patch as needed without disturbing the sensor. I usually end up changing them after 7 days because the edges get a little ratty looking and start to come up. Since I'm going to have to change it when the sensor ends, I'll split the difference at a week, but it usually feels like they would have been secure on my arm for a few more days. I do find that my skin likes a periodic break from whatever they use for adhesive. If I wear too many in a row I will sometimes get a rash, but if I periodically wait a few days before putting on the sensor, then my skin doesn't complain at all. I give my arm a break from these every 4-8 weeks as needed. I recently bought a 10-pack tin of novelty patches from the company because I needed another cover and thought I'd add some fun/variety. The unit price of the novelty patches is about 3 times more than these, and I have had MUCH less success with adhesion. I'll stick with the basic model from here on out.

good product
These work very well. They are breathable, which is so important. Back when I was using the cheaper plastic based CGM covers, those would pull at my skin and leave painful rashes behind. These don't do that at all. They are easy to apply by yourself. I like the little reusable plastic cover - it gives extra protection. Be aware that these are sticky all over so they stick to the cover as well as your skin. Other types have areas with no sticky in the middle to accommodate the sensor, but if you use the cover you need that sticky area. I've never had any problems reading my sugars with this on. I recommend it. 25 may not seem like a lot compared to the amounts that you get with some of the cheaper plastic ones, but with the 14 day sensor, it breaks down to about 50 weeks of coverage for like 10 bucks - which I think is very fair.

Long lasting but will hold water
I like these covers. I have been using them with my Abbott Lingo Biosensor and they fit great and last well over the sensor's life span. I shower every morning, so mine gets wet with soapy water on a daily basis. They do get a little shaggy around the edges due to the daily showering, but overall adhesion is excellent throughout that timespan. After getting out of the shower the material does hold a bit of water but simply going over it a few times with a towel draws most of the moisture out. Even being slightly moist afterwards, it's never enough to bleed through into whatever shirt I am wearing over it (usually a cotton dress shirt in my case).

Frequently purchased honestly worth the buy
I honestly love this brand. I’ve tried many brands of patches over their years but am coming up on my 2 year anniversary of sticking solely with this one. I sweat easy and love long showers. The picture of my arm is after 4 showers including a wash day shower. Those are longer and I use different hair products for my mixed curly hair. Most other patches including bigger names ones fall off on wash day. I don’t worry about that with these. I can workout a bit, sweat, and sleep wildly without worry. I also bump into stuff a lot and it stays. They only come off with hot showers but heat can melt adhesive so keep that in mind. I pass out spares I keep in my purse and promote it to people I meet randomly because I’ve been there. The hard case helps a ton and using a mirror helps with application. I don’t use the hard case myself since wash days are random and I get really itchy when using it but honestly I absolutely love that you get a protective case. I continue to buy these exclusively. I started buying them under our former family Amazon account but switched to using my own. It’s honestly worth the buy.

Functions well but can be irritating to skin
The best part about this item is the hard plastic cover that it comes with. That really helps prevents any bumps or nudges from disrupting your sensor. The adhesive is not too extremely sticky (in a good way) but if worn too long, it seems to get stickier and irritating to the skin after a couple days. I wore it on a really hot day 100+ degrees and when I removed it, the adhesive pulled of some skin with it too. I would buy this for just the cover and keep searching for an alternative sticker or non-adhesive patch to use it with.

Not water proof and don’t adhere.
Don’t waste your time with these. I cleaned the area around mine with alcohol, then used a skin prep which makes the area slightly tacky to make them stick better. Waited an out like the suggested and my first shower made it fray around the edges and it WAS NOT WATER PROOF!! So glad it frayed because I decided to take it off and found it was wet under it. Could have ruined my CGM. I pay to much money for my CGM to riun them with these things. I’ll go back to the tegaderm transparent film dressings! They are water prof and stay on.

Due to long delivery times and poor return policies, avoid this product as it’s not of great quality. Have found 2-3 better products on Amazon.
