Such a great text, easy to read and implement ideas the following day. Like all in the Hacking series, it is certainly "real-life" teacher friendly.

A waste if time and money
Not helpful. All these hacks I already knew them. Nothing new. I regret having bought this book.

Great Resource
A great resource for teachers regardless of their level of experience in the classroom. As a veteran teacher, I found many ideas I could implement in my classroom. If you are new to teaching, this is one to have on your shelf.

Can't wait to get back into the classroom after reading this book!
Looking for new ways to encourage student independence and ownership of their learning? This is the book for you. Reading this book has reenergized me ahead of another year of teaching high school social studies. I'm eager to executive some of the innovative "hacks" James Sturtevant shares within such as using Google Calendar to teach students how to set manageable goals and meet deadlines. Something else that has really struck with me from this book is, "turn your students into investigators instead of advocates." I teach social studies and have struggled to create a classroom atmosphere that's conducive to open dialogue regarding controversial issues. This quote reframed how I sought to address this hurdle and I am excited to introduce topics in this way.Bottom line, I have taken extensive notes from this book and now can't wait to get back into the classroom.

The Hacking Education series makes my heart so happy. After reading Hacking Engagement (the first book) I was blown away. I found so many ideas to immediately begin implementing in my class. My students and I both enjoy these hacks and use them often. I didn't think the book could be topped as it is one of my favorite PD books and I still refer back to it often. THEN Sturtevant announced on his Hacking Engagement Podcast that Hacking Engagement was going to have a sequel! As Jim says in his podcast, "I was all over it like a cheap suit". I bought it, read it, loved it, recommend it to all teachers, and use the hacks daily. I am never disappointed by a Hacking Education book. Love them all.
