I bought this 7.5 μF run capacitor to replace the weak blower motor capacitor in my HVAC system after a maintenance tech quoted me $300, and doing it myself was much easier than expected. I shut off power at the furnace switch and breaker, removed the blower door, located the old capacitor, took a quick picture of the two purple wires, then disconnected them and safely discharged the capacitor by touching both terminals together with an insulated-handle screwdriver. After removing it from the mounting clamp, I installed the new capacitor, tightened the clamp, pushed the connectors on firmly until they were fully seated, closed the blower door to engage the safety switch, restored power, and tested the system. The blower started instantly, airflow improved noticeably, and the whole HVAC system runs smoother now. The specs matched perfectly, quality seems excellent, and replacing it myself saved me a full $300. Highly recommended for anyone comfortable with basic DIY work.

Purchased to replace 30 year old Capacitor on Goodman AC Compressor unit. Lasted 2 Years and going strong. Will update how long this capacitor lasts as I do Spring maintenance measurements on my HVAC system.

Item arrived within time estimated. I tested it before use and it measured 7.75uf for the 7.5uf capacitor. Worked well for my Venmar HRV. Longevity not yet determined.

We use as replacement for existing capacitors on furnaces older than 10 years before the installed ones fail. If the installed ones fail we also have to replace the motor as it does not start without a working capacitor.
