Best price, good quality, many uses
Good quality, great price. Used with Red Guard on all seams and over 1/2 inch space between mud bed and Durarock walls preventing water migration into your walls and bench. Do NOT set Durarock in the mud bed. Material is thicker than ones I used before but goes on well absorbing the RG. Being thicker use a more generous amount of RG to give good bondage to the Durarock. Will take more time to dry but that is OK, do not rush water membrane procedures.

Used for waterproofing seams, not a crack prevention membrane
This is not an adhesive or membrane tape. Its simple a strip of a porous fiber material used for waterproofing seams in wet applications. I used it to seal up a shower pan and curb, used regard as the substrate for adhesive, crack prevention, and waterproof. This just covered up a bunch of screwholes and helped seal the bottom pan seam. It worked just fine. Its nothing to rave about, but it served its purpose for what i needed it for.

The answer
I used this with mapei aquadefense. I wasn't sure how this would paint on in a shower I did, but it installed very easily. It adhered well. I installed it as a 1 step application. One coat of aquadefense then soaked the fabric and put it up with a roller. I used it on the shower pan and walls. After a few days of drying, I did a 24 hour water test. Worked perfect and layer tile without a hitch.

Good deal
Yeah, not sure why people buy the expensive stuff from Kerdi. This worked fine with Redgard. I coated the surface with Redgard then stuck this over it and immediately painted on a coat so it flattened this fabric right out. I did do a final coat when that dried.
