Q: can you put two stools or two chairs under it when the leaf is down.

No there isn't enough room between the front legs

Q: how hard is it to assemble?

The instructions were clear and assembly was fairly easy and straightforward.

Q: Someone answered that the table can only sit 2 persons, but another person answered that 4-6 persons can sit. Other comments?

Four people can sit around the table. I have managed five but it's a bit crowded. Chairs sit on each end and on each side so four can fit comfortably with room for food in the middle.
