Best $50-100 digital multimeter on Amazon
This is hands down the best <$100 multimeter on Amazon. (I am excluding the UNI-T UT216C because it is $99.99, and unless you live in a state with no sales tax, that meter is going to exceed the $100 price point.)I am no electrician, but I do spend quite a bit of my free time tinkering with batteries, solar, vintage home audio, car audio, etc. The most important tool one will need when venturing into electronics diagnostics and repair is a good DMM (digital multimeter). Many professional repair techs and electricians will use trusted brands such as Fluke, Fieldpiece, Keysight, BK Precision, etc. But these easily go for several hundred dollars, if not more. Its outrageous, but this is the state of the industry. So what I look for is something that is relatively accurate, well built, and reasonably priced. This multimeter ticks those boxes, and so I didn't hesitate to purchase one.The first thing I noticed about this meter, that tells me right away that is an all around quality device is the leads. These leads are GOLD PLATED. Gold is used frequently in electronics because it is an excellent conductor, and it is also highly resistant to corrosion. However, gold is not cheap, so it is not typically used in cheap multimeters. In addition to that, the leads are CE certified, and approved for CAT II work. If you look at most budget DMMs, the leads they come with are junk. No matter how good that meter is, if those leads are not up to snuff your measurements will suffer. So what people will do sometimes is get a cheap multimeter, and then spend a bit extra on a better set of leads. No need to do that here. It even has a handy non-contact voltage detector. As I mentioned, I am no electrician, but I am a tradesman, so I often work alongside them on construction projects. I brought this meter into work with me the day after I received it to see what they thought of it. Here is what they had to say:"You paid how much for this?? Do i get a discount if I buy in bulk?" - A.M. , Journeyman electrician"This thing is hella nice." - J. B. , apprentice electricianI highly recommend this multimeter. I like it so much I will also be buying the UNI-T UT216C clamp multimeter next, which is useful in higher voltage applications.

I use the UNI-T Digital Multimeter more than my Fluke 289
For the price, this is worth every penny. The UNI-T engineers created a multimeter that, in numerous respects, competes with my Fluke 289.The protective outer casing is crafted from high-quality rubber, with test leads you can secure on the back.I use this meter daily to accurately measure AC and DC voltages to one-thousandth of a volt (0.000).The meter includes a carrying case, an adapter to measure SMD passive components, and USB via infrared data logs to my computer. Batteries and fuse locations are easily accessible from the rear panel. When you make an investment in a Fluke, I am cautious with it; I never measure current for fear of damaging it.The UNI-T is quick and precise, with well-thought-out features. It has become my preferred multimeter.

UT61E+ Good for datalogging, accurate and versatile
This is the little brother to the UT181. No data logging internally and simple display. It retains the accuracy of the 181 and the measurement speed. (Very fast) It is easy to use,, well protected, and has many measurements. The external Bluetooth/Android app. is excellent and allows you to do remote measurements. Very sturdy and stable. Good silicon probes. Good bang for the buck serious DMM.

Frequency module could be better
Only able to measure frequency of sine wave with amplitude 0.70V or higher, which is much higher specification of 200 mV.

Bluetooth does not connect
The primary reason I selected this meter is because of the potential for logging data by connecting to my Android device. I put he Bluetooth dongle on the meter, downloaded the app, found the QR scan, scanned the code on the back meter and got a "Failure to obtain" message. There are few instructions in the manual and none on the uni-trend.com website. I found nothing to help debug the issue. I gave the app all permissions it was asking for including location. I tried turning on and off wifi, mobile data, un-installing and re-installing the app but nothing worked. I have asked for a replacement meter. If it works I will amend this review otherwise this meter was a waste of my time.

Very good value, replaced my Fluke 77 i destroyed by checking output if fence charger!!Seems to very accurate & does a lot more functions that mt Fluke.

Great meter, slow delivery
The meter does a lot. I have two nice Flukes, this is better, it does frequency and other things. Nice case, you can plot on your computer with the USB plug, plus you can be up to date with the latest firmware when it is changed. Another plus, it is red, easy to find when you mislay it. A great deal.
