6" Stone Holders for Wicked Edge Knife Sharpener (Set of 2)

About time other manufacturers sharpening stones can be used with this setup.. you can’t go wrong with these holders.. great setup

These hold aftermarket diamond stones pretty well but you must not overtighten the clamp. It will cause a slight bend to the "stone" and catch on the blade holder part of the Edge kit. Also being wider this changes the angle geometry and is harder to sharpen smaller blades such as any shorter than 4". It is still possible however going two handed with the process is difficult. But overall they do work well enough.

These are sold as an accessory for the Wicked Edge sharpening system. The maker failed to understand that the WE sharpening system allows one to move from stone to stone without changing the angle of the stone. Once one determines the sharpening angle one can then proceed to move from stone to stone with little or no thought. These adapters force one to determine a new angle setting because the Shapton stone is not held in these adapters at the same distance from the center of the sharpening stone rods.The maker did not include any directions for use and an explanation as to the amount of angle change needed to continue sharpening at the original angle used with the Wicked Edge Sharpener's stones.

These stone holders open up a world of options for my wicked edge sharpening system! There are thousands of 6 inch sized stones available that work in these stone holders and it expands the capabilities of the wicked edge system a huge amount. It also makes it a lot cheaper to upgrade, change and experiment with many, many stones.Obviously with thousands of available stones their thickness vary, but it only takes a few seconds to adjust my wicked edge angle to match every stone. Easy as pie.

Tighter fit on rods than OEM less playIf only they were double sided! I think I am getting knives sharper with these handles! I bought 5 pairs
