Walking the Line: 90 Devotions of Truth and Hope Based on the Faith of Johnny Cash

My son loved it.

I recently saw Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, interviewed on "Fox & Friends" on television. He spoke of a new book featuring his father titled “Walking the Line: 90 Devotions of Truth & Hope Based on the Faith of Johnny Cash.”The part of the title that says “based on the faith of Johnny Cash” caught my attention, so I ordered the book and finished reading it yesterday.I loved it!Each of the 90 devotions is short — just two pages long — and begins with a quote from Johnny Cash, followed by a scripture consistent with the quote, then a short devotion on the topic, and finally a short written prayer.I’ve always appreciated the music of Johnny Cash (I remember watching his television show when I was a little boy), but it wasn’t until finishing his book yesterday that I became a fan. The bottom line is that I love his “walk with Jesus” that he so freely speaks of.Johnny’s the first one to admit to his shortcomings and mistakes. For example, in Devotion #2 titled “The Sparring Partner Within,” he’s quoted as saying…“Sometimes I am two people. Johnny is the nice one. Cash causes all the trouble. They fight.”Can you relate to that at all? I can.I got much out of this book - it is inspiring and instructive and I highly recommend it.Thank you!Timothy Paulson

Purchased as a gift for my 17yr old son. He enjoyed it !!! I think any Johnny Cash fan would enjoy this. Simple to the point devotions. Highly recommend !!

This is a very nice daily devotional book-especially for country music fans. This is a great gift & a way to encourage someone who enjoys a daily inspirational reading. The book is well made and attractive.

Bought this for my husband and sometimes he has a hard time reading but this keeps him interested and he loves it!

This book is great. Was a gift to my hubby however I'm reading it. Lol! This book has daily inspirations & parts of the life of Johnny Cash. You learn from his writing and he tells you how he found Peace. Great read!
