Chef'nSaltBall Grinder (Black and Clear)

I don't know how may of these I have had. After a few years of abuse, the handles break, but we use it multiple times per day, And keep a spare on hand. Extremely easy to use with 1 hand, but I generally use two hand because one I dropped one in the soup and could not clean it up. I think this is a great product.

Worked ok at first but after about a month of moderate use it started to grind more and more coarse on the finest setting. I was also disappointed at how hard it was to use with gloved hands (this was purchased for sandwich building in a small deli), it tended to slip out of one hand and using two hands defeated the purpose of less cross contamination with one handed use. We replaced this with a rechargeable electric grinder for about half the price.

Heavy usage leads to breakage. I use this about every night for cooking, it is excellent for grilling and one handed use. I purchased 2 one for salt and one for pepper. It broke today after 18 months. Will likely purchase another.for peppercorns.

I've been very happy with the Chef'n PepperBall! It's a lifesaver for me in the kitchen, allowing me to season dishes with one hand and adjust the grind as needed. Plus, it's refillable so I never have to worry about running out of pepper. My only suggestion would be to add more color options, but the black and clear are still sleek and stylish. Overall, this one-handed wonder has exceeded my expectations and I can't imagine cooking without it. Highly recommend!

First, Pros!Love that it only takes one hand to use.Love that you can adjust the coarseness of the grind.Love that it's easy to clean and refill.Cons:The bottom snapped apart from the central tank part after roughly a year and a half of light usage, so now it's trash. Love the design, don't love the longevity. Won't be buying it again.

Buy these while you can still purchase them. The wonderful larger size is no longer available anywhere that I could find in this design. While these little ones do not have adjustable grinds, they work very well and are refillable practically forever. These are the "old" design that has a way to fill them from the side.The big ones today are of a changed design and are frustrating as they are really inferior, in my opinion since once you have opened the big, "redesigned" type, to refill it with coarse salt chunks: you cannot get it back together. A lot of people must be buying the big ones to give as wedding presents. They will get tossed in a drawer and never again see the light of day, once someone tries to unscrew for refilling with salt and then experiences total frustration at trying to put it back together.There are no explanations anywhere that come with the large product....as to how to re-screw the thing together. How many times can you put pressure on the two parts with a plastic screw thread like a jar cap, before it will strip. I suspect four.So, buy these little ones with the magnets on their sides, so as to fit them on a refrigerator, I suppose. These little ones, as featured, have been made for a number of years.It may only be a matter of time before they "redesign" and ruin these as well, since this is the design that used to be for the big as well.Do not buy a product unless you scrutinize it. These little ones work very well. I highly recommend them. As I said, buy these while you can. They are terrific.n morse

This is the second try at this pepper grinder. The design is nice. Operation with handles is preferable to grinding, BUT, after7 or 8 months, the pepper mill quit working. The bottom is displaced when grinding and it is unusable.
