What a great product! Fits tight on the trailer tongue and is well made. If anyone can get it off they have worked very hard to do so. Such a small price to pay for trailer security.

The ball lock itself looks solid enough that you would have to make quite a bit of noise to cut it/break it. Nothing is thieves proof, but that one would slow them down a little or cause enough commotion to discourage them from stealing your trailer. *Note that the lock can easily be lock picked as it is a rather simple lock*. The little 1/4” coupler lock is kind of a joke. It’s not really a lock and can easily be open with a flat head screwdriver. A good padlock would do a better job as it is harder/louder to cut or open. Overall, if you install a GPS tracker sticker on the trailer and a camera in an obvious location on your lot, coupled with the ball hitch lock, it would probably deter most thieves. The goal is not to stop them from stealing it, since that hardly can be done, but to discourage them from taking your trailer rather than the next door one.

They look sturdy and easy to use. They come with four keys that work on either lock and are keyed alike. PLEASE NOTE: I PURCHASED TWO SETS; THE KEYS ARE NOT SPECIFIC TO ANY INDIVIDUAL HITCH LOCK. ANY RHINO HITCH KEY WILL WORK ON ANY RHINO HITCH LOCK THEY ARE NOT KEY-SPECIFIC. I was a little disappointed about that and I don't recall that being stated in the description. What are the chances of some else having that key, well if they want your trailer they just need to buy a Rhino hitch lock and they'll have the key!

Prior to this, I had a lock that I got from Tow Smart which was a disaster: poor fit, separate keys and the last time I took the lock off the key refused to come out. So I decided to upgrade and I am VERY happy I did!My first concern was that these two locks come keyed alike. I sent Rhino a message and they quickly replied that once I ordered to let them know and they assured me that it would be done. They came with four keys, all the same! Beautiful!These both fit like a glove and I didn't have some trouble that others mention (and I really don't think this is the fault of Rhino... they can't possibly accommodate EVERY difference in trailer in the world...). They fit snug to the trailer which I think makes it a bit more difficult for a would-be thief.And, in a less important way, these look great too... almost like it's part of the trailer.I'm never going back to wasting money on Tow Smart products again and will only be buying from Rhino; in fact, a locking hitch pin is on my list and they have already assured me that it can come keyed alike as well!THANK YOU RHINO!!!!
