Yes. It smells like lanolin. Get over it. It works great to keep kids scabby knees soft. Just put on a bit after soaking in the bath. I find it best to “pat” on. It is sticky. It doesn’t disappear. It sits there and protects. It is safe to put on nipples when breast feeding. No harm to baby, and keeps you dry. Put on those dry cracked lips or knuckles - anywhere that needs protection and healing.

I have suffered with chapped lips my entire life and all the organic balms, creams, supplements, water, etc. did nothing. My lips peel, crack and bleed and became much worse recently so I searched yet again for another something which might actually help and then discovered lanolin. I tried another brand first and although it helped a little, the smell was very strong. I didn't expect it to smell good but that one was almost intolerable. Then I found this and it works better, has hardly any smell, and costs less! This has made a huge difference! It really is amazing.

I had never used lanolin before. But this works really well and is super effective. After using it for a couple months I got used to the smell and it does fade over time. Then I compared to my friends and hers has no smell. This stuff is STINKY. Smells like a sheep so I guess you know it’s real but there’s other product out there with no odor.

Keeps my toddler without rashes. Put it at night to sleep to avoid rashes and it works wonders! Already bought it two times and will continue to do so.

I wanted to use it in a home made face cream, but when I opened the jar, I could smell the sheep.

pleather=faux leather. lake leather made from polyurethane. regular leather conditioner doesnt work on pleather. but lanolin does work on faux leather to protect and condition it. i made a faux leather jacket look alive with this. recommended for faux leather treatment. i also use it as a antibacterial agent on wool clothing.

I have always used a lip balm once I started taking Accutane in high school. Chapstick, Burt's Bees are just wax filling in the dry spots on your lips, it's not actively moisturizing your lips. I was a long time user of Blistex, but I needed something more occlusive and longevity. Through a YouTube influencer, I found out about Dr Sam's lanolin balm. But, I was going through them so fast and they're crazy expensive so I switched to Lanolips. But again, I found myself going through them like candy and they're not exactly budget friendly. I decided to give this product a shot bc it's pure lanolin oil. Does it smell? I don't think so. Does it taste gross? Yeah, but if you're tasting it, you're using too much product, a little goes a long way. Love the size of the jar, perfect for my nightstand. I use this everyday. I use it on my lips, on a cut, or on some severely dry skin. Wish I could put it in my purse, and that's when I use Lanolips bc they're so easy to sneak in your purse, cup holder, etc. I highly recommend this product and will definitely repurchase again!!

Okay, first of all, it does have a {ahem} unique odor. But it doesn’t seem to linger terribly long. I am willing to put up with it for the benefit of soft heels and cuticles. Besides helping with dry, cracked skin, it is also handy for minor burns and abrasions. If you can get past the smell, it is a great lip balm.
