Perfect companion charger for traveling
This thing is great. It does one thing and it does it right. It's just a simple and *very* dinky charger that is small enough to carry around with you on-the-go, and can be charged via a typical Micro-USB connection including USB battery banks making it great for travel. The charger itself is not much bigger than the Sony Type X batteries themselves, and is fool-proof as there are no buttons, just slide it open, pop in the battery, plug in the USB and you're off.. Amber LED to indicate its charging, turns off when full, easy, no frills. It seemed expensive to me until I realized it comes bundled with a Sony Type X battery as well, which if bought separately would be around 50-60% of the cost of this thing anyway, making this quite reasonable in my opinion and really a must-have accessory if you use your camera on the go a lot and may not be by an A/C outlet to recharge your batteries. Wish I bought this before buying a separate standalone battery. Although its worth mentioning this does Not come with the clear Type X protective case like you get if you do buy a Type X battery separately, now including the one that came with my camera I have 3 batteries and I guess I'll be keeping one of them in this charger during transport since yeah it doesn't come with a battery case, and also didn't include a Micro USB cable in the box are my only gripes probably. The quality feels good... not much to say about it since it's such a simple design. It's all plastic but thick and sturdy feeling with a pretty nice matte texture applied, the top cover is semi-translucent so you can see if there's a battery in there and also see the LED indicator through it. The slider mechanism feels solid and smooth but it is all plastic, and has little gripper bits molded into the plastic to make it easy to slide open and cutouts to make it easy to pop the battery in or out. Very happy with this, perfect companion accessory for your Sony Type X battery camera.

Smaller than i expected
I know the battery is small...and i knew the charger was a bit bigger than the battery...but once you have this in hand you’ll be amazed how small it really is! Takes about 2 hours to fully charge using an AC plug. Havent tried charging via usb but in all honesty I don’t know why anyone would charge that way anyway. Its always so much slower to charge anything via usb. I suppose you can use the charger as a battery case when not charging, but i’d rather not place constant tension on the contact points. Minus one star for not including a wire or ac plug... If you want to be able to charge while traveling by using a battery brick, this tiny charger is perfect as it’ll help you save precious room

So far, so good - Should have been included with the camera in the first place!
The kit appears to be genuine Canon product, including the battery. Others may have had their experiences but my order was filled in Canon packaging, with the battery bearing a 2024 production date - no fakes and no old stock. The charger is indeed just a plastic box but it does have the same charge light as the camera - works fine. I only wish that it had been included in the first place, to allow charging the battery outside the camera. Why is that important? Well.... otherwise, one must connect a USB cable to the camera itself. The USB port cover promptly broke - a very annoying defect on an otherwise very nice, and expensive, camera. Always use a charger and card reader and never connect USB to the camera.

Very Elegant Solution
This charger is about the size of the battery in girth and about 1" longer than the battery in length. The case slides open and the battery goes inside. Shut the case, plug the USB cable (that came with the camera) into the USB adapter (that also came with the camera) into the end of the charger and the battery starts charging with an indicator light showing it's charging. When the battery is charged, the light goes out. Super compact design and it works. Charged a partially discharged battery in about an hour. Other pluses: Since the charger works from a USB power source, you can charge the battery while traveling; either from a car charger or from an external USB "PowerPack" marketed by a number of companies - no need for a separate "car charger". So now a word about the gripes that the RX 100 cameras came with no external charger. So What? People say you can't use the camera while the battery is charging inside the camera. Well, my Olympus Stylus 1 came with an external charger and guess what? I can't use the camera when the battery is charging in the external charger! So what's the solution? A spare battery AND an external charger. The ACCTRDCX Travel DC Charger Kit fills the bill quite well in a very compact package...and it comes with a spare battery.

The perfect travel charger.
Great design and an easy way to recharge a battery on the road. I love that it is small and easy to carry. It took a couple hours to charge a half-full battery, so it isn't going to break any battery charging speed records, but it does the job just fine! Most chargers are clunky and take up too much room to cart with you easily. Most other chargers also require you to plug them into the wall, this works off of a micro usb plug (there is no micro usb to usb cable included, fyi, but the one that comes with the camera works just fine). It allows you to charge a camera battery from your laptop, an external battery, car charger, or whatever power you have available. If you don't have one of these for your Sony RX100 mk (I, II, III, IV, V) you don't know what you're missing.

I just bought a sony camera RX100M3 . I needed a second battery and a charger. I have just bought this compact charger and it is perfect for me. I researched the internet and there are other choices but they are bigger and heavier. I go backpacking (long distance , 800km ..) in northern spain, france , portugal and i need to carry two batteries to last me for the day. I take both photos and videos. At the end of the day, I have to leave the battery to be charged in a public area (hostel corridor etc) until the battery is charged. The Rx100 has the charger built in the camera and I did not want to tempt fate and have the camera stolen. I used to carry a Lumix Lx5 which had a separate charger . The travel compact charger is really good as it does not add much weight to my backpack; also the battery fits inside the charger. I have charged the new battery using the compact charger - it takes longer than the built in camera charger but it works great for my use. I don't know how the charger is going to perform long term but being a Sony charger I am not expecting any issues.

It’s so small & can fit into my Lowepro Adventura CS20 camera bag together with the Sony RX100 M7. I can easily charge my RX100 battery thru the mini USB port, so convenient.

Does the job, you get a genuine Sony battery, and as well as being a charger, it also serves as a compact battery container which fits nicely into a my backpack. I feel like it could be a little more sturdy in its construction, but I also don't feel like it's going to break. The only real drawback is that it's bloody expensive for what it is. I paid $80! -But I guess that's what you pay for high quality. I didn't want to muck around with cheap knock-off batteries which lie about their capacities, and it's the smallest and most convenient USB LiPo battery charger I own. There are certain things you can cheap-out on, and others where the long-term aggravation isn't worth the money you'd otherwise save. This is the latter. You buy it, you forget about it until your camera runs dry in the middle of a project and you're glad you have this thing in your bag. You use it and then you forget about it again until next time. That's convenience.
