WiFi Door and Window Sensors,Tuya Smart Alarm with Free Notification APP Control Home Security Alarm System, No Hub Required,Compatible with Alexa, Google Home (4-pack)

I bought this sensor to use on a shed and I wanted one that would work with Alexa. This one was very easy to connect to my WiFi and Alexa recognised it immediately. It works well and I get notifications quickly.There is an option to pay for notifications on your phone via SMS, though it works out a little expensive.However, I am happy to recommend it.

1. Sensor comes with x2 AAA batteries & sticky back tape.2. Gives a continuous alarm on your phone when sensor is activated with a door/window opening.Also sends a notification message saying door/window open onto your phones screen. (see photo)The continuous alarm on the phone is extremely useful as it's impossible to ignore, (it can be turned off if wanted). Please note there is no alarm on the sensor itself.When door/window is then closed, it again sends a notification to your phone but no alarm.There is a time and date on the notification section of the app.3. Very easy to use and setup. works via wifi and you get your notifications wherever you are as long as you have an internet connection on your phone.4. I have attached the sensor to floor of my garage with a strong sticky tape and velcro, doing the same with the small sensor being attached to the garage door. (see photo).As the door is a roller door this was the easiest way but I guess one could screw a small piece of wood to the door and another to the frame and attach the sensors that way if you didn't want one on the floor.They are very light so they stay in position easily.5. App gives battery level.6. The app is very good and gives a log of the opening and closing times.I have included photos to give an idea of the app.7. Integrates with Alexa via Skills section by giving spoken announcements when door is opened & closed.Can also check if door is open/closed by asking Alexa.SUMMARYSo far at time of writing only used it for a couple weeks, very happy as all I wanted was a reliable system letting me know wherever I am when my garage door is opened and closed as other family members use the garage and can leave the door open by mistake!I've ordered 3 more, 2 for my other doors and 1 for my neighbour ;)———————————UPDATE 10.10.2022First one I purchased was very good with strong reception between sensor & router but the other 2 I bought after require to be very close to the router which restricts their use.Shame because the first one was very good.

Bought this to know when my shed door is open or closed. Does the Job for a cheap unit.Set up to Wi-Fi was much easier than I was anticipating after reading other reviews. Downloaded the app, followed the instructions connected to my BT router ok, there was no need to switch off the 5g Wi-Fi part of the router to set up. Installation of the door sensor was straightforward, as was pairing to the app.The issues to be aware of are-The wire Wi-Fi distance is relatively short, my shed door is about 1m from the house wall and there is another wall between the router. Although the setup completed ok, the signal was randomly lost. I overcame this by using a spare Wifi extender plugged into the shed. Although the extender shows a weak signal to the router, (I have now replaced this with a mains connected extender) the sensor works fine & has been stable for a few weeks without losing connection.You can’t change the alarm tone of your phone but it’s adequate, you can also program the hours of required notification if you want.The status of the door on the app says on or off not open or closed, but the pictorial status does show whether the sensor and magnet are together or apart & the banner alert that comes up on the phone says ‘alert door opened’ or ‘alert door closed’The printed instructions are so small you may need a magnifying glass to read themI’ve got another sensor that I’m going to try on my remote garage door but connect to the Wi-Fi with a wifi extender using the mains cabling back to the routerSo far, this one works okUpdateI have now installed the second sensor on my garage door which is approximately 50m from the house. To connect to the router I have installed a TP link through the mains Wi-Fi extender through the mains supply to the garage. Set up of the sensor was an easy as the shed door

Device was easy to install but once installed kept dropping off the router expander which is 6 metres away. Used this for my shed. Unable to get it to work properly unless I'm 2 metres from expander.

These are great Door Sensors. The best part is that this really works and barely consumes any battery power. I have the same battery running for about 8 months now and it is still showing no signs of slowing down. 98% of the times the alert shows up almost immediately. There were only a few hiccups when alert did not show up or arrived hours late. Its a very good value for money and it does the intended job perfectly. Recommended to everyone.

These were really easy to setup. Packing states you can use the Tuya app. We choose the SmartLife app which is same since we already had other devices in that app. Setup was quick and the notifications come across within about 5 seconds or less. We caught someone accessing our closet that didn't belong in there; They won't be doing that again.

Ich hab 4 stück gekauft. Easy zu installieren ,nutze die seit 1 monat und funktioniert alles top. Kein falsches notification oder so. Einfaches konfiguration mit HA.

Diciamo che funziona bene una volta configurato con la sua App e fatto vedere al vostro router.Deve stare installato ovviamente nel raggio del WiFi altrimenti non funziona!
