For HP Laptop PD Charger Adapter 4530

Used this on my HP laptop to adapt to my HP dock that is equipped with a USB C cable. It does work and does effectively charge the laptop. I am still trying to get the dock to be recognized by the laptop so I can use multiple monitors, but that's a separate issue. The adapter does its job as far as working to charge the laptop through a USB C cable.

It works and I coudn't be happier. I used a USB-C voltage meter to verify that the correct voltage was being triggered and it was. Just, FYI, it is important that your charger supports the wattage that is required to run your laptop. It also requires Power Delivery output at 20V. Without these things, it won't work. Otherwise, it works great.

I have tried this on two different HP laptops, and using two different types of USB C power supplies (of different wattages, including a 100 watt supply). This adapter simply does not work for me in any case. It will very rarely charge for a short time, but most of the time it does not work at all. Going back to my original HP power supplies.

I love my HP laptop, but the battery life has become atrocious over time, and having to carry around the OEM power brick with plug cable everywhere I go has become such a hassle. But thankfully I came across these usb-c to blue pin barrel plug adapters and now I am able to charge my laptop with the same usb-c power bricks I use to charge my ipad and iphone!! Just be sure that your cable and brick output at least 45w of power and are PD-delivery compatible. Good quality and overall great buy!

This little adapter works great to keep my laptop powered when I am away from a wall outlet for an extended period of time. I have an HP 15z-ef2000. You just have to be connected to a power source that outputs a high enough wattage according to the product description.

Works as advertised. I have to test yet for more sustained use. However, I find the price/quality is high!

We have a few different HP laptops used by my family that either use a USB C or a 4.5mm jack for power. There are two home offices in our home so when members of the family would move around from office to office, we would have to have both power cords setup at the workstations to allow for either type of laptop being used. But now with this adapter, we just have the USB C power cord at both workstations and depending on which HP laptop is being used, they can use this adapter to quickly and simply get power without having to use two different power cords. Simple but useful. Great for families with multiple laptops.

Did not work at all for the HP computer. Tried several cords and blocks. The cords and blocks work fine so it’s the adapter that’s faulty.
