These bookends are the perfect shape for all of my shelves. Excellent functionality. They are attractive. I love the trees that are on each one. They seem very stable. They are a great size. I don't think they will ever slip. The metal is good quality, well built.

Work well for mass market paperbacks and hardcovers, quite sturdy for their size, and look great.

But very lightweight! Plan for what you want these to do before you expect them to be rock solid workhorses to prop just anything up.
