I've owned a number of oscillating and stationary lawn sprinklers over the years and this is far and away the best of the bunch for the following reasons:1. Solid and heavy metal frame which makes it very stable.2. Fastest cycle speed -- very helpful when setting the side-to-side "spread" distance to avoid watering the sidewalk. The speed saves a lot of waiting through each cycle to see if you have the coverage spread set correctly.3. Convenient controls to set the forward and behind spray spread (none of my others ever had this feature).4. Water volume control knob right on the sprinkler itself -- another really important feature none of my other sprinklers ever had.If you want to skip all the time-wasting that I've been through over the seasons and utilize a truly precision oscillating sprinkler, this Melnor is the one to buy, hands down. It is a bit more expensive than the less-capable ones (of any brand); but then this is a good example of "you get what you pay for". In the future, it is the only one I would buy anymore. It will do the job very capably.

I love this sprinkler. The husband and I both work Monday-Friday so it's hard to water our lawn. The timer on this sprinkler sold itself. I set the timer when I go to work and wala easy peasy. I also love the quick connect that comes with this sprinkler. This sprinkler is worth it's weight in gold.

Just purchased. A little tricky getting just the correct settings for my yard, but that's a positive. As for coverage, I dispute their 4500sf claim. My yard 35 x 50 and it will do about 2/3rds. So I'll do 2 sweepds. No biggy. However all in all its a good unit. Worth the moderate cost. Oh I looked at my water meter. It uses app 240 gallons an hour. This will save me water not using all those inground sprinkler heads.

Cuts my watering down significantly, i can cover my yard with four repositions in different sections of my lawn. It was a drag watering and with this sprinkler i can water my lawn in 2hrs, 30-40min each quadrant. If this breaks after one summer ill buy another one each time.

Very configurable spray patterns in terms of flow rate, dispersion angles, and area to be covered.Quality Water connections, no improper leaks.I do question the overall plastic construction of this... we'll see how it holds up. WIth that said tho, I have kept this outside for about 3 weeks with no issues; plastic still good.... Great Value.

3 years later. I love the build. It is a beast and holds up in the Texas heat. Love the control patterns. So far no clogging. I’m not taking it in in the winter either. It’s handling all the seasons.

After 20 years of looking and testing different manufacturers,; this is the best sprinkler. Easy to clean, corrosion resistant, reliable year after year.

Generally only lasts a season, but that's good enough for me.I like the flexibility of the adjustments so that you can water what needs to be watered without wasting water where you don't need it.
