I have had cheaper blenders but this one outshines them all. It is powerfull and the two speed very useful. I also got four attachments for different applications which make it a very versatile.

Ifyou live in Australia don’t buy this! The plug is for England! Luckily we haven’t had this problem with Amazon US.

I had one of the first of these in Canada yonks ago; was very pleased with it. So much so that I bought another here in the UK from Bamix at the ideal Gnome Show - 34 years ago. A week or two back it suddenly would spin/rotate; just hummed and the whole unit got a bit warm. Contacted Bamix about possible repair... Bamix came right back to with suggestions about what might be happening... and how to resolve it. Seems particles of (dry) food might have gotten stuck in the shaft - due to not being "properly" cleaned...? Whatever... suggestion was to immerse the shaft in hot water for a few minutes and then power it up and give it a go - no blade(s) attached). It worked perfectly. Next step was to apply a few drops of vegetable oil down the shaft (into where the rotating stick emerges) to lubricate it. This is advised to do every few months or so. From now on I wash it as advised above - rather than simply under a running tap or in a bowl of water - with no power. I now give it that spin in a jug or bowl of hot water, then rinse off under a running tap to complete it all. And will give it drop or two of veggie oil every few months. Thus my 34 yr olde Bamix is running like new. Can't think of too many goodies that last this long... And the warranty on the current models (since 2020 is truly a life time warranty on the motor only; with a 10yr warranty on the rest of it). Bamix was the first of these stick/immersion blenders and for me the only one go for. Excellent product and top notch customer support.

I was so looking forward to using my new Bamix. I planned to make my favorite dessert requiring lots of aerating and whipping , had all the ingredients laid out only to find that my Baxmix (bought on Amazon Australia) has an English power plug - so is of no use at all. I do not really want to use an adapter every time I use my favorite kitchen appliance. I've already chopped up most of the box and ordered and received extra blades. So now what?

I wanted one with completely removable blades for thorough cleansing . This one the shaft and cup end can’t be detached or cleaned well. Only the tiny blade part is removable . Also the whole thing is very heavy and cumbersome and top heavy . Will be a pain to use. For this kind of money I wanted a perfect blender . The search continues.
