Great knife
This is one of my favorite pocket knives. Great weight, sharp blade, and easy to use flip open feature! Its the perfect size for a good work knife. The handle fits perfectly in my hand and gives me a solid secure grip. I love this knife. I would recommend this knife because of the quality and price point are awesome! I was skeptical to buy it, since I've never purchased fom this brand before. They now have a new satisfied customer. I now want to purchase some of their other knives, because I like this one so much.

One of their best.
Really one of Civivi’s gems. The Praxis is the first knife that I got from Civivi, and it has lived up to all the praise. The micarta fells excellent in hand. Nice and lightweight for its size 4.1oz. It comes out of the box extremely sharp with that thin blade profile. The 9cr18mov is a very good steel choice for the price. Extremely corrosive, tough, and good edge retention. The drop point blade makes it so you changer in and make good cuts with the long belly. Great knife overall.

Looks nice, but works better!
I liked the previous Civivi knife (a Bo) that I bought a while back, so I decided to try another. I liked the look of the carbon fiber and copper foil in epoxy, and, since the price came down, it was not a big risk. I’ve had it just a few weeks now, and it is my current favorite EDC. I use mine at home for random stuff, but at work I use it to cut plastic banding for steel fence posts, to cut plastic wrap on pallets, and other warehouse tasks. It is rugged: in a bit of a hurry with a customer standing there, I levered the blade through some green plastic banding against some fence posts. It was solid and remains solid. It’s a beefy knife, but very comfortable in the hand. The pocket clip is tight and holds the knife securely in place. It is right-handed, tip-up carry. The clip can be switched to the other side. The action is smooth and tight, and remains solid with no play in the blade, even after some serious use over the last month. It is easy to open with the right hand using the flipper tab. The liner lock is also easy to operate with the thumb. Yes, it can be easily opened and closed using one hand, excellent for when you may be up on the ladder or have the left hand otherwise occupied. Further, it can be opened and closed easily even when wearing either work or nitrile gloves. The epoxy handles are muted, and not showy, and I’ve had occasion to scuff it a few times: it has stood up to the abuse really well. After a few weeks, having dropped it on a dirty concrete floor multiple times, the epoxy has held up and resisted scratching quite well. The black finish on the blade and clip is pretty hardy as well, though that has begun to wear through. The handle shape is very comfortable. The blade shape is attractive with plenty of steel going all the way out to the tip. It is stout but practical. The blade grind has a graceful line that is attractive and leaves enough metal in the blade to ensure its strength. There is a very short edge bevel, probably made possible by the blade geometry. This contributes nicely to the overall ruggedness. The blade steel is quite good. I have a Rada sharpener (the one with the overlapping carbon steel discs) that I pass this knife through every few days and it takes a quick and sharp edge, ready for whatever work I will set it to. When recently sharpened, the blade goes through plastic wrap on the pallets easier than paper. After a few days, it is still sharp but does require some quick attention to get the edge back to that condition. This is an attractive knife, rugged and stout, with a unique-looking set of scales. Its design and operation were well-considered. The blade grind is excellent. It is a fantastic knife for work chores, and the price came down just enough to tick off that the final box on my checklist and convince me to put my money down on the barrel-head. This is a good knife. I am quite pleased with the purchase.

Smooth action, sharp blade, good looking knife
Very well made knife, well machined, very smooth action, came extremely sharp. Great security when blade locks and really nice to carry with the deep clip.

Perfect for daily use
This has become my favorite daily pocket knife. Comes sharp and in a super nice case. Makes for a perfect gift! Grip feels solid (I don't have big hands 5'8" 185lbs) and natural to my hand. I originally got the smaller but ended up returning it, this one is just right l! Love it!

Flipper knife
This is a nice knife at the $40 ish range. The flipper works very well and it fits my large hands well. These days, at 74, I like to carry a knife in addition to a pistol when I venture out from my country home. There are a lot of wild people out there today and you don't know where you might encounter one, based on real news events unfolding weekly.

Gorgeous, exceptional blade! Superb knife if you like a full-size folder.
My tan version arrived on 11 June, 2022. First of all, I have to clear up the fact that the "Tan" color Praxis is actually a medium/darkish khaki/taupe (see my photos for accurate color). The recently-updated (30 June, 2022 or thereabouts) Amazon photos for the Tan Praxis are closer to actual color than Amazon's previous super-light-color "Tan" photos, but the actual color is still darker than Amazon's photos. The Tan is still a nice color and I'm keeping the knife, but pretty common-looking in color. Not ultra-classy like the ivory I was expecting. Other than that, I love this knife. I currently own 3 Praxises in different color combos, have given a black handle/satin blade version to a friend, and have bought and returned the version with the carbon fiber & gold shred scales (arrived 15 August, 2022) because those particular scales ironically are actually super-plasticky and look cheap and cheesy, as opposed to how cool they look in Civivi photos. Don't buy Civivi carbon fiber or shiny plastic scale knives. They disappoint everytime. Anyhoo, the Praxis lives up to the typical Civivi expectations of tight tolerances, very smooth action, great deployment, nice materials, and great fit and finish. While the lockup is solid, the lockbar on this copy isn't quite touching the midpoint of the blade, though it really should be. Aside from all the typical praise due Civivi, what, to me, makes the Praxis truly shine is the blade. The grinds are perfect, and I do mean perfect literally, not hyperbolically! Regardless of price. Perfect symmetry, beautiful "satin" grind texture, and otherwise simply flawless. It is just stunning to look at, as well as a very functional shape. The thumb ramp and choil function nicely without being intrusive. *Edge* (cutting edge/secondary bevel) grind is about 2000-grit finished and it is the sharpest I've ever seen in a knife. Tied for sharpness with my Fallkniven F1x Elmax. And if you don't know, it's actually kind of too sharp and a bit scary. (Side note: Fallkniven includes 5 bandages with "Fallkniven" printed on their wrappers. I don't know if that's Fallkniven making a clever joke, or actually intended for use. Because if you do your normal finger-on-the-edge sharpness test with that knife, you truly may need a bandage.) If you like the look of this knife, and the stats meet your needs, get it. Worth at least double the current price. *NOTE*: The knife is not lubed, so you will really want to lube your bearings/pivot and detent before use.
