This is NOT a soft chair. It's functionally perfect, but if you want "comfort", this is not it. I love it for being closer to the children without having to sit directly on the floor. It's great for being in their eyesight for sign language since my students are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Great sturdy stool with a nice velour feeling top. No cushion. I love the color! (I got teal) Oh, there is a little place to store stuff but I don't use that. You'll find the legs in there upon arrival.

I bought this so I’d keep my feet off of the coffee table while sitting on the sofa. It store perfectly under the coffee table when we have company or are on vacation.

This foot stool worked out just as we had hoped it would and the color was exactly as shown. We had a specific size in mind and this was it. We had purchased another stool prior to this and the color was not what we expected, but that might have been because it was fabric. Also appreciated the fast delivey.
