The D Z Strad Antique 1/2 Violin Model 220 is a meticulously hand-carved instrument featuring a seasoned Engelmann Spruce top and Maple back, finished with spirit varnish for enhanced sound projection. This is the best violin I ever owned. I'm an accomplished violinist and plan on using this one for upcoming performances. Great sound quality and light weight from the choice of woods used to make it I don't recommend this for a beginner. However, I would recommend it for an advanced student or a professional.

This violin is a high-quality piece with a great sound. My kid loves it, and highly recommend it.

DZ strad 220. The violin sounds as described. It's light weight and so is the case it comes in. I didn't try out the bow because I already have my own. Not certain which brazil wood model comes with it. Pirasto gold rosin. The sound is clear and nice. A big step up from my beginner violin.
