Inexpensive 8-bit Inspired Console
The upside of this system is that there are indeed 300 retro 8-bit inspired games on this system. It comes with two wireless controllers which work immediately with no configuration. The console itself can be powered from the included USB cable or via 4 AA batteries. The controllers themselves use 3 AAA batteries. They are small, and have a handy reset button, joypad and 4 action buttons, but most games (actually all that I tried) only use two buttons. The action is a little mushy, and there is a small amount of lagginess - not enough to be truly frustrating, but it's there. The surface of the controller is the matte rubberized grippy surface common on many electronics.Connection to a TV is through a cable that connects to the composite (often labelled A/V) connector on a television set - a connection that is starting to disappear from sets. There is only one channel of audio, so plug it into either left or right connector input for analog audio. The switch for the unit is on the back, and the logo on top lights up when the console is on.As far as the games themselves, they are mostly games that are unfamiliar. No Mario Bros, etc. There are certain genres covered - the platform game, the fighting game, puzzle games and board games translated to onscreen. Since there are no included instructions, it's up to the user to figure things out. For many of the games, though, that is not hard to do, since they follow a familiar formula. It is chock full of games that are "sort of" like other games. There is a fighting game that is "sort of" like Strider or Streets of Rage. There is a platform game with a cartoon character that jumps and can throw a boomerang sort of thing. Are the games fun? Some are somewhat entertaining, but no classics here that will keep you coming back.It is hard to be too critical of this console, even with it's deficiencies, because it is so darned inexpensive. You get a lot of games and a console with two wireless controllers for very little money. The advice is, though, set expectations appropriately. This is not a Nintendo Classic killer. It is a very inexpensive game system with 8bit inspired games.

That's messed up
Don't waste your money the little screws inside of it you can lose it's not worth anything if you see that I was very disappointed you have to unscrew it to put batteries in you have to unscrew it to do everything with it was so hard to not lose the screws don't waste your time don't waste your time the only reason why I could return it is because I couldn't find a tiny screws that you got to unscrew to put the batteries in

A big mistake
The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because it was my own mistaking ordering this. The games are difficult to play because the controllers are so bad (So flimsy). Also all the games is not very fun.
