Great beginner drone
This is my first drone ever purchased. Thought it'd be wise to pick up an inexpensive one to learn on in case I didn't enjoy it or had the inevitable crash. Flew the drone several times on the 2 supplied batteries. Really started to enjoy myself so bought a third battery to extend my flight times. After flying the drone and going through one of the original supplied batteries I decided to try the new battery out to see if there was any extended flight time with it. Upon plugging the battery in the drone immediately began to smoke. I unplugged the battery popped the top and sure enough the board was fried. I emailed USAToyz and asked if there was anything we could do to fix it and informed them of an aftermarket battery being used at the time. I supplied the pictures (attached to this review also) of the smoked board and they responded within the hour that they were sending me a new drone and prepaid shipping for this one to be sent back. Awesome customer service! I received the new drone within the same week and couldn't be happier!Drone is a little sluggish and slow to respond for quick elevation changes with my GoPro attached to it but other than that I don't see any issues with it. Fun to fly and hope to have a lot more flights in the future.

The F100 stands for a 100% Fast Flyer that's a Lot of Fun
The media could not be loaded. The Force 1 F100 by Force1RC is a fun and powerful UAV. I've put in about 5 hours total flight time since receiving this unit and would like to provide the following tips and observations.- This unit is a new model by Force1RC and sold through USA Toyz. Both Force1 and USA Toyz are very responsive if you have questions or problems with this unit.- The F100 uses brushless motors which makes it super quiet and quick. While charging up your battery, install the leg extensions and the rotor guards. Until you get used to flying by the sticks (all manual-no auto functions) you'll be glad you did.- I would rate this as an 'intermediate' level drone due to the manual stick mode, it's quick responsiveness (set the controls on 'low rate' for better control) and make sure you have plenty of room to maneuver.- Get an extra battery (or 2) when you order this unit. Your run time will vary, but with both batteries that I use, fully charged, will give you 14-15 minutes MAX of flight time per battery/per charge. I always set a timer on my phone for around 10 minutes and then begin bringing the craft back closer to home after the timer goes off. You will also get a warning through the transmitter and lights on the drone will begin flashing when you get down on power. I've brought the drone back to my landing site several times after my timer went off and while hovering for a landing literally had the drone run out of juice, but fortunately the drone was only about a foot off the ground. The reason I gave this review 4-Stars out of five was because of the battery recharge time. The charger supplied is a slow rate charger and will take around 5+ hours to charge up. That's the reason for getting an extra battery (or two) for extended flight sessions.- For extra visibility, I put florescent orange tape on the back surfaces of the drone, since this unit/controller has no FPV--it's all line of sight.- Range of this drone is about a quarter-mile before you start to get signal warnings through the transmitter. This unit has no auto return to home, so don't stray too far. It's mostly a fun in the park flyer and a good manual stick learning unit.- I have yet to strap my GoPro Black 4 on this, but the drone is very smooth and stable on stationary hovering, so I'll be doing this aspect soon and post some results later. In conclusion, I would recommend this drone for anyone wanting to improve their stick skills and fly by the seat of your pants. It's a good way to build up confidence before you shell out $1-5k on your next drone and you will be better equipped if your auto systems fail on your more expensive models.Happy FlyingUpdate: July 5, 2017 - The F100 with a GoPro 4 attached to the support provided comes in at around 1.6 lbs total weight. Here's a short video at 4k. No gimble, thus the vibrations from the drone and wind.

FIRE! DEFECTIVE! CAUSED INJURIES!
DO NOT BUY THIS DRONE! Upon arrival of my drone I immediately opened the box assembled the drone and charged the batteries, everything looked flawless and I was so excited about my first brushless motor drone. I reached for the battery, plugged it in and the battery immediately started smoking and got scolding hot and the wires eventually caught FIRE! Yes FIRE! I’ve injured myself and am now out $100. I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS DRONE!

It likes to crash
I have owned this for over a year and flown it often. It is very smooth and quiet plus it's very fast, like at least 30mph without any wind. The batterys also last around 20 mins. With the the great build quality the remote was a letdown because it feels sort of cheap, it's not the worst but it's like something that would come with a $40 quadcopter. On my third flight I had a major issue. I was dcending from about 50 ft above a football field when the drone flipped upside down and went full throttle into a car, probably at 60mph. One arm broke off but luckily it only hit the tire. If it had landed on the windshield it would have moast definitely smashed it. It wasn't pilot error and I cut throttle instantly but it was on a suacide mission.I was able to fix it and used the included spare props. This happend once more but it recovered.

Surprising quality for such a low price.
Unbelievable product for the price. Very durable with all the landing gear and blade protectors installed. I have hit the side of the house and dropped from being stuck in a tree and it still flies great. The motors are super quiet and it flies easily in wind. I even flew it way up until it lost signal and after the wind caught it, I was able to regain the signal and bring it back against the strong winds higher up.The only thing I don't like is the propellers will not stop spinning unless you push and hold a button for a few seconds. They should stop when the throttle is off. But at least the props spin with no real power... as in you can stop them with your finger when the throttle is off and they do not try to fight it.Watch some videos about linking the controller and copter as its not so obvious.I have not used a camera because this is more for me flying than taking videos so I cannot comment on the stability.
