Sockwell Men's Sportster Graduated Compression Socks

I love these socks. While compression socks are always a little difficult to put on, they do the trick. I followed their guide to ease the strain of pulling them on. I recently used these socks for a transcontinental flight, with two lay overs, which took about 24 hours. My legs, ankles and feet did not swell up and I had minimal discomfort. They were a little tight at the bottom of my knees, but not unbearable. I wear a women’s size nine shoe and found that the men’s socks fit a little easier that the women’s.

These socks fit well and seem well made. I have only worn them 5 times so I can't speak to their longevity. They seem to help with my shin splints.

I bought these for my husband in size XXL hoping they would fit but they do not. They were recommended by my podiatrist. My husband wears a size 12 wide or extra-wide shoe and has edema and it’s been hard to find socks to fit him. I was hopeful but they’re just to small for his wide feet and calves. It’s not the socks fault, he just needs a special fit. I struggled to get them over his heel and it isn’t a battle he’d want to do. However, I’m keeping the socks, I can wear them even if the foot is a little long for me! The socks are very nice, very well made and the quality of the yarn is very good. Soft and breathable. It’s not a thick wool or winter sock so when you see “wool” in the blend you can wear these socks comfortably all year. The compression is as described, 15-20. I can pull them up easily and wear them all day. They are a bit pricey for me but worth the cost if they would have fit him. I will enjoy wearing them.

THese compression socks are great. It seems the delivery times are getting longer and longer.

I purchased these socks as a gift to my new husband. He serves as a tribal pastor and school principal for underprivileged children here in the interior of India, and he often has had pain in his legs and feet since we were married. Not that I mind massaging him before bedtime, but these socks have helped him to have better stamina to get more done in a day's time. I first fell in love with this company's socks about two years ago, when I worked in a coffee shop and had very long shifts at the espresso machine, followed by a lunch rush of food to serve, then desserts and sweet drinks (also made with espresso). I could work my long shifts, and then go spend 30 minutes of intense workout at the gym on the way home. Hoping for the best, when I moved to India and married my husband, I brought my trusty socks along in case of pregnancy (to deal with restless leg syndrome or possible varicose veins) and also just long hours of work around the house. One day, I talked my husband into wearing my socks, as his feet are close to my own size. He found them very comfy, but was too embarrassed to wear pink polka dots (even under his pant legs) out of the house. Inspired, I ordered him three pair of Sockwell socks from the Men's collection. When all three pair are in the laundry hamper, he has been known to sneak into the dirty clothes and take out the cleanest of the three pair. I'm just so happy his legs and feet don't hurt him as much these days. Thank you, Sockwell! I will say, though, wash them in cold water in a delicates bag, and I always hang mine to dry. You don't actually have to wash them every time you wear them, but three times is about their limit. You do have to take care of these socks differently than you would the socks you grew up wearing, but once you're in the swing of things, and they've begun to help your daily life, you won't mind so much. The colors hold well, also.

Nice looking and the size is correct. Note these are indeed moderate as in the title for tension. I was hoping for a bit more tension if they ever make tighter socks for swollen ankles that would be perfect.

This is my first pair of compression socks. I was worried they would be uncomfortable given the pressure. However, they were very comfortable for an all day wearing. I like that they are made with Merino wool which helps regulate temperature and reduce sweating. Sizing is spot on, as I wear between an 11 – 12 shoe size, and the XL sock fits perfectly. The socks are a bit of a struggle to get on, watch the video on how to put them on if this is your first time with compression socks. Overall, I like these socks and will order additional pairs.

These are well made sock but expensive. They hold up after several washings. I prefer to air dry them rather than put them in the dryer to shrink. Although they are partly wool, and subject to moth damage, the moths don't like the other materials used in the manufacture of the socks. The socks have a snug fit and are not easy to put on the feet. Occassionally, these socks go on sale at Amazon for a lower price.

My husband was having pain and swelling in his legs, Since he has been wearing these socks he has no pain or swelling.

Purchased this brand in the past and found it to be very favorable. This recent purchase is an inferior quality to what was purchased in the past. The elasticity and tension expected is not as good. Thus disappointed.
