what is the difference between super and ultra

I ordered GP 23AE 12V Batteries (Pack of 10) for ~ 5.70 Two types are sold GP23AE and GP23A. Don't know difference. I have used this brand for over 5 years. They are a little larger in size than then A23 you get in the local store.

What's the expiration date on the batteries?

I have a Ritchie Sport Compass in my car that can has a tiny light in it, will these batteries work to power the light?

Yes should work fine if these are the batteries your compass calls for... These have a good life cycle

Are these batteries typically all dead on arrival? I tested a 10 pack and only 2 had minimal power remaining but not enough to power a small remote.

These batteries are for our entrance gate remotes. Batteries that sit for long periods in hot cars in South Florida can die quicker than you might think. However, every one we have opened so far has worked, although I have not used a tester on single one or a full package at a time.
