Goya Great Northern Beans, 16 Ounce

I am now hooked on these white beans. I’ve spent my entire life always making dark beans, but I tried these a few months ago and my hubby & I are hooked. I use the entire 1 lb bag and a 1/2 C Lima beans…let them cook in a crock pot for 4 hours. Add 1 cut up ham steak, some beef bullion, 1 onion and a little salsa & garlic and man….they are delicious! I make a fresh loaf of bread and this last is 4 dinners. How cost effective is that? The bread and pot of beans cost about 18.00 at the most,,,,pretty darn good. These kind of dinners save a lot of money. Just a comparison. I picked up a 16 piece chicken bucket ( just the chicken) at KFC and it cost 43.00 I was so shocked, that I’ll probably not ever do that again. I can make my own fried chicken,,,,thank you. People,,,start cooking,,,,the industry is just sucking $$ away. Cooking at home saves so much.

I have trouble finding high quality navy beans in the grocery stores. The beans are dirty and have little rocks in them. Not Goya. They are so easy to clean, as they have been well cleaned before packaging, and taste great!

Although the product tasted good, it was a lot of money for 16 oz of beans!! I did not read it good enough.

Great Northern are the best and a little harder to find than other beans so I have Amazon ship them to me.
