Amazing game! Despite small bugs
Amazing game! Despite small bugs. It's a great game. I've being playing FPS games since before Wolfenstein, and I've played the two Sniper GW before this. And all Ghost Recon, Rainbow6, Call of Duty, etc... And this one is one of the best!

B-movie levels of action and quality
I have a very soft spot for B-movies. I'm also a fan of precision shooting in general. Those two reasons above give me some crazy bias towards this game, so take this review with a grain of salt. Sniper: Ghost Warrior has been around for a while now as a solid choice for people looking for a realistic sniping experience. The first game in the series came out in 2011 with a sequel being released in 2013. These games have a certain reputation in gaming circles. They're not the best games, in fact being pretty mediocre most of the time. However, they're budget titles that do one particular thing very well (the sniping mechanics), with everything else being satisfactory or outright sub par. That being said, these games have found an audience because the sniping mechanics are unrivaled (except for maybe Sniper Elite), and they're charming in the way a low budget action movie can be. It's hokey, cheesy, and sometimes dumb, but there's no denying the fun factor. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 expands upon the premise of the first two titles by introducing an open-world format that mimics Far Cry to a tee. The setting is rather under explored in gaming, so that's a solid addition to the plus column. The game takes place in the Eastern European country of Georgia, and the world is all dense forests with foreboding mountains, and some snowy areas. In this area, the graphics do leave a bit to be desired. If you're looking for extremely detailed textures, and polished visuals, look elsewhere. The game often looks a bit muddy, and if you get to close to the vegetation you'll notice how cheap some of the animations look. That being said, there are moments when the game looks like a proper AAA big-budget action game. Just like Far Cry, you travel around the different regions via vehicles or fast travel points. All in all the map is easy to navigate and the numerous "Points of Interests" that are scattered throughout the map all offer unique mini-moments where you're investigating a crashed car, or saving civilian hostages, and other similar activities. Perhaps my favorite mechanic aside from the Sniping is the ability to use a remote-controlled drone to investigate the surrounding areas before executing a plan. This mechanic is similar to using the tamed Hawk in Far Cry Primal, but controlling the drone is much more precise than controlling the hawk. The drone can also be modified with an number of abilities (passive and active) that enhance it's battery life, or enables a night vision mode, or allow you to make a noise to lure enemies, etc. Using the drone to scout ahead for enemies or vantage points is a fun and engaging experience that enhances the game play in a tangible manner. As a final positive subject, the weapons that are available for purchase are pretty great. There is about 15 sniper rifles available, about 10-12 assault rifles/shotguns/bows, and about 10-12 pistols. Each weapon has different attachments, and so far I've been impressed with the variety available. As a gamer with a full-time job, I don't really care too much about the quality of the story anymore. While there are certain games that I purchase specifically for the story, I purchased Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 because I like sniping. However, to my surprise, the story has been entertaining so far. Hokey, predictable, and kind of simplistic, but still entertaining enough for me to want to listen to briefings and pay attention during cut scenes. The basics are this: you're a kick-ass american military operative (marine, I think) who's searching for his lost brother (also a soldier), while fighting alongside a rebel force. Interesting enough. The biggest con for this game are going to be the loading times. Every time you start a new game, or switch to a new region the game will initiate a 5-minute load time. It's annoying, but at least once you're loaded in there are virtually no load times. Other than that, the game just feels like it could have benefited from some more development time. The fact that you can only purchase the game with the season pass attached is a bit of a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it's great to be able to count on more content for the game throughout 2017. On the other hand, there is no multiplayer available yet, and it feels like you're paying full price for a half-done game with the promise of the rest of the game coming out throughout the year. So who's this game for? Do you like Jean-Claude Van Damme movies? Were you aware that there is a series of 6 movies called Sniper with 5 of them being direct-to-dvd releases? Do you perchance own those movies? Then give this game a chance. It's not ground-breaking, it's not life-changing, nor is it a masterpiece. This is a fun, budget title that will appeal to a certain audience.

1 - 5 Stars for Game; 5 stars for Amazon Prime
0-1 star for game developers testing. 2-3 stars for graphics, music, dialog 4-5 stars for sniper rifle mechanics/upgrades/drone. 5 stars for Amazon Prime and their return practices. 1. You will not be able to complete the game due to the processor freezing. I made it into Act 1 (of 4) where you steal a truck filled with wine and attempt to drive it to your next action; the processor froze multiple times thereafter preventing further progress in the game. I was at 20% of the game's completion. (see 5 below). 2-3 stars; an initial load time of 1 hr + is required to get the game running due to a huge number of patches required (as of 4/27/17). After that, it requires a minimum of 4-5 minutes to start the game each time you power up. You cannot manually save a checkpoint so you are at the developers' discretion as to how far back you have to go to replay after a death. Graphics are well done; details and traversing them with vehicles and on foot are better than average, however any changes you make to the controller options don't work on initial play thru (i.e.. playing from a walking world into driving an automobile world -- inverted y axis does not work). You must stop and restart the game in order for the reset options to work. 4-5 Stars. The game is a true sniper game. It is comparable to Sniper Elite 4 except with less melee capability. There are multiple sniper weapons (12 or so as I recall) to earn and upgrade (scopes, magazines, skins, etc.) and the mechanics for distance, windage, breathing are realistic. And the Drone (new to me) is superb. My lack of progress (20%) left me hungering for more drone capabilities. It is used to tag enemies and survey the landscape from approx. 3-40m before you enter action areas -- why don't more games have this ability? Awesome. 5 Stars. Goes to Amazon Prime and their return policy/capabilities. After reaching the point of absolute frustration with the processor freezing I chose to return the game. I quickly printed up a return address (with a return code) to the Fulfillment division in Ky ( an option of the original order), inserted the game in a bubble wrapper, drove it to a near Amazon Locker, used the return code to open the locker and wham-O; the next morning, I received the refund with a message on my iPhone in that regard.

Sniper Ghost Worrior is worth buying
open world game, free roaming bullet game no x-ray , once you play the prologue. This picks up awesome game, drone takes a little used to but after the prologue it's and open world game outpost searching artifacts. My psn name is dragon715.I have a community on the ps4 please look me up. I love the free play and open world. Yes it does have bullet can. And this game has a upgrade work bench in the safe house. Buy upgrades. I know others gave this a bad name but trust me if you are a true fan of the sniper ghost worrior you'll like this one.
