Second solo studio album by the Rolling Stones guitarist. Originally released in 1992, 'Main Offender' failed to match the success of his solo debut, 'Talk Is Cheap' and resulted in him putting his solo career on hold for the next 23 years. This deluxe edition features a bonus disc featuring the unreleased album 'Winos Live In London '92'. Review: Main Man - i have always loved Keiths lead vocals on the Stones albums, and the ones he sings usually end up as my favourites on Stones albums. so i had to get this album, and i wasn't disappointed. it is now one of my favourite albums in my collection., Keith has a brilliant raw, husky voice, and all the tracks are brilliant especially, 'Wicked As It Seems' and 'Hate It When you leave.' he sounds so laid back. i'm surprised he doesn't bring out more solo stuff, he is quite capable of holding his own, when it comes to writing a great album. maybe i'm a bit biased as i love Keith Richards, but my friends also love the album now, as it is always on. he is a real legend, and the ultimate wild man of rock, who has never conformed to society or come off drugs and drink then preached about the evils of it and then become a Cliff Richard clone. are you reading this Clapton, Tyler, Walsh et al. he has lived his life to the full and continues to do so, and is more anti establishment than Johnny Rotten could have ever dreamt of. and i personally love him for it. he is a one off, there will never be another 'Keef.' Review: Keith Richards~ Main Offender Music CD - I had been given a loan of this album from my friend who after taking it back my collection seemed bare without it! It's a very soulful album with Keith in good voice throughout! i feel my collection near complete again this is a hidden gem of an album and I'm glad my friend put me on to it! Highly recommended!

Down in the Groove
There's a enjoyably loose, live in the studio, jamming feel this album & certainly no Jagger trying to make contemporary sounding songs like he does with the The Stones music. No stone-cold classics, but that’s not the point of “Main Offender”, it’s just Richards & his friends (including new Rolling Stones drummer Steve Jordan) recording together without the pressure or scrutiny of a Stones release. Richards even play bass on the reggae tinged “Words of Wonder”. which is nice & this new remastered version really enriches the sound of Richards' guitar. That camaraderie is evident on the live disc (if you have purchased to deluxe version of this album), with some nice-extended jams & a couple of Stones tracks thrown in for good measure. There’s even a touching rendition of happy birthday sung to Richards by the audience, he seems genuinely moved. For me, “Main Offender” is as interesting a album as anything The Stones has released post “Some Girls” & I’m glad I took to risk to get it.

This album doesn't disappoint with his unique blend of blues and rock
As far as the Stones were concerned, Keith has always been 'the Geezer' for me. This album doesn't disappoint with his unique blend of blues and rock. Like the man himself, this is an album which will survive the test of time and do it with considerable style!
