This ZigBee rgb controller was the missing puzzle piece to complete my Hue smart lighting setup. I had 32 feet of generic RGB led strips with a basic Bluetooth app controller. I all my lights to work with the Hue light switches so I had it plugged into a Hue smart plug. I could turn it on and off but not change scenes and I just accepted it for a year. This controller changes everything! I now have the LED strips fully controlled by the switches and the Hue app with full RGB and scene control. Installation took 2 mins and a couple more to add to the app and that was it. Highly recommend, as it saved me a ton of money: getting 32 feet of Hue brand light strips or other ZigBee compatible light strips would easily run you into the hundreds of dollars. This was such a great find!

Arrived in good condition, both units worked.Added easily to Home Assistant using Zigbee.Wide range of colors using HA.Pros:Clean design.Can handle 2 strings.Cons:Unit comes with male connections, which I find odd as normally all the other LED controllers have female connectors.So you will need to purchase a Female to Female adapter or cable to utilize these with existing LED strings.Compared to the standard IR unit that came with these LEDs the intensity is, in my estimate only about 80% as bright.Conclusion:Works as described, could be a little less expensive relative to the performance.This is the reason I gave it 4 stars.You can be the judge.

I have numerous ones hooked around our home.. They work perfectly for attaching to LED strip lighting for illuminating the inside of book cases, attaching to outdoor walls, under-cabinets.. They can be controlled by WiFi , Zigbee and Phillips Hue controllers. As well, easy to interface with Alexa.. They hold up well outdoors providing you wrap some tape around the electrical connections.

Purchased 4 of the these, frustrating waste of time. It is not connecting to Alexa. After following all the instructions multiple times Alexa doesn't discover the device.

Overall this was a rather disappointing purchase.Bizarrely, an Off command doesn't turn it off. That's right: Turning off the light just dims it to a very low brightness level, but still very visible in a dark room. Only with an "Off with transition" command will it completely turn off.Even on full brightness, it's very dim. I was hoping 20m of LEDs could at least keep up with the 1m CFL tube it was meant to replace. It can't, not even remotely. And this was a very old and shabby fluorescent tube.Color accuracy is abysmal. The red LEDs can't keep up with blue and green. Instead of yellow you get bright green, and instead of white, turquoise. I can get something resembling a neutral white by dialing back G and B by 15-20%.If you are expecting anything with a light output usable for more than decoration, you won't find it here. As accent lighting it's fine.On the plus side it connected right away to Homeassistant / ZHA, and has been fine from a smart home integration perspective, other than having to "trick" it into completely turning off.

I am a Home Assistant user and have purchased 8 of these zigbee based controllers! These work excellent in-Home Assistant, they are very responsive compared to Wi-Fi-based LED controllers. They instantly respond without connecting to the cloud. I connected them to Home Assistant through the built-in ZHA (zigbee) integration. I highly recommend this if you are a Home Assistant user that likes to do automations with your LED light strips!

I've only had these running for about 24 hours so I can't comment on long-term, but I will say that they were super easy to install and instantly paired with my Home Assistant ZHA integration with no trouble. The kit comes with double-sided tape to mount the controller and even a paper clip in case you need to reset the device. For me, I just plugged them in and they both went directly into pairing mode.
